Since none of the korean translators have made a move yet, understandably due to the shock of tonight's results, I will do what the chinese forum has already put out for now.
Group A winner: Kal
![[image loading]](http://www.fomos.kr/board/interview/1293188834_1.jpg)
- You advanced as second place in your group. ▲ The pressure during the preparation was enormous. My opponent is a new player and I don't know what style he plays, and I was very worried. I'm very glad to have won.
- Flash is eliminated. ▲ If I lost and have to play tiebreaker it would be very stressful, therefore I really needed to win it. Having Flash, the greatest obstacle on the road to championship removed, is a good thing in some way. However he was like a little brother to me and he saved my life once, so I'm still very sad.
- How was the game? ▲ He played very well, I couldn't do anything against his reaver harass, but luckily it fired duds. Although I wouldn't say it was a Christmas present, but I felt like luck was on my side. When I heard the sound of my opponent's reaver blown up, I thought I could accomplish what I want today.
- You must be very happy to have won on Christmas eve. ▲ The atmosphere is always very happy before Christmas, but if I lost I would have been very depressed while preparing for tomorrow's match. Winning feels good and I really want to share it with people around me. We will play Airforce ACE on Christmas day tomorrow, and since I won I will prepare with a very positive mindset and I think I will get good results.
- Thoughts on your goal? ▲ Since Flash is eliminated, I can hope to aim for the championship this season. I think this is a great opportunity and I will work hard to get good results.
- Anything else you want to say? ▲ Tomorrow is Christmas day, I wish everyone a happy Christmas. The weather is very cold so everyone please take care.

Group B winner: HoGiL
![[image loading]](http://www.fomos.kr/board/interview/1293190491_1.jpg)
- You finished the RO16 with a win after 2 losses. ▲ I fought really hard to get into RO16, and I was deeply regretful after losing 2 games and eliminated. But even then I managed to play the last game without any pressure and I won, for that I am very happy.
- It was a very dynamic game. ▲ My opponent spawned in the best location at 5oclock, and I was at a BO disadvantage right from the start. It felt very depressing but I kept playing and won. I made the best judgment I could and Jaedong happened to play too aggressive and wasted alot of his forces while he was ahead, so I managed to win.
- What did you gain from this win? ▲ After I lost twice I thought I haven't shown my true potential, this time I came with a calm and relaxed mind and I won. I feel that the mindset is the most important thing. This season I got eliminated because I played very poorly, if I managed to get back next season I will make sure I have a good mindset and I will work hard to advance to RO8.
- Tonight is Christmas Eve. ▲ Since we still have SPL matches, Christmas don't matter much to pro-gamers. Once I get back I'm probably just going to practice.
- Anything else you want to say? ▲ I wish everyone can have a happy christmas. However since I beat Jaedong, it must have made alot of people unhappy, and I'm very worried about that. But I have always wanted to win against him, so I hope everyone won't hate me too much.

(T/N: As an Entusman, I am very proud of you Hogil. Now stop losing in SPL XD)
Update:
Group C winner: Mind
![[image loading]](http://www.fomos.kr/board/interview/1293192853_1.jpg)
- Thoughts on creating a tiebreaker? ▲ Because I got into the same group with Shine this OSL our goal was to advance together, but I lost my first game and now we have a tiebreaker as well. Though firstly I am very glad to have won today, the tiebreaker schedule will be very tough. However I still wish to advance together with Shine.
- It seemed like a one sided game. ▲ I seem to have practiced more than Sea. I have confidence to win and I practiced alot too, therefore the game was easier than expected.
- All your tiebreaker opponents are very tough. ▲ Lately it was no longer the matchup advantage that is important, but rather the maps and the player's skill. There will be many games so therefore the more consistent player will have the advantage. We are all excellent players, but my goal is to advance with Shine, so I hope we can both defeat Stork.
- Tonight is Christmas eve. ▲ Actually I had no idea, I only heard it was Christmas eve after the practice session. Getting out of our team house was tough, the traffic jam was severe, and that was when it really sunk in. because of that we got to the venue late and it didn't feel very good. Although I'm still very happy to see so many couples out there enjoying themselves. I will prepare for the tiebreaker seriously.
- Leesung was eliminated before your game, did you thought that your chance has arrived. ▲ After all Flash and Jaedong are very hard working, so I think they will definitely make a comeback. We are all mortal and we all lose sometimes, so I don't think this is much of a big deal. As long as you win you will be praised. Breaking the Leesung strangle hold on the individual leagues is a good thing. As for me personally, my momentum has long since declined, so I don't really think I have much chance. I will only think about working hard on what I do.
- Anything else you want to say? ▲ Baby helped me practice diligently even though it was his day off, I want to thank him.

I don't want to make another thread on this. According to PlaySC, the map and order of the group C tiebreaker will be:

The time will be Sunday 26th 21:00 Korean time (fomos says 21:40 so whatever) Source: PlaySC

Haha SmugToss. Well done.
Kal and Hogil, the two boys who finalized the killings of Flash and Jaedong this OSL.
While I'm happy that Flash is out and sad that Jaedong is, I can't blame Kal and Hogil for playing to win. Well done, guys.
+ Show Spoiler +Stork vs. Kal finals, Stork winning? One can dream... + Show Spoiler +Although Shine will probably just slay him too -.-'
|
Thanks for the interview how about mind and free interview :D ?
|
But I have always wanted to win against him, so I hope everyone won't hate me too much. Poor Hogil, but angry fanboys around the globe are probably cursing your name right now
|
Congrats to Hogil and Kal! It's a shame that Jaedong lost, though, I was really rooting for him this OSL. I hoped for a Stork/Jaedong finals again. ^^;

Yes, you're right, everyone will hate you know. Honestly, I think it would be much nicer if you would beat Jaedong and then type GG. On the other hand, as a Jaedong fan, I have to say he didn't deserve to win today (similarly to Flash). Why Jaedong, why??
|
Flash and Jaedong out of the OSL... wowza...
Kal and Fantasy still in it. So there is still star power. (Stork too if he pulls out the tie-breaker)
Modesty and HyuK... you never know with these 2.
Hiya and Clam... should be fun to watch these 2 play. (We all want Fantasy vs Clam)
Then, tie-breakers...Shine, Mind, and Stork... whoever loses twice is out. So tense!
|
Bisu, Flash, Free & Jaedong are out. It will be nice to see some different BoX games. And with only two terrans confirmed in the Ro8, it's going to be fun no matter what. Take it home, Stork!

Done, added some photos at the end from fomos because they look cute.
Hopefully Free's interview would pop up somewhere, I knew there's a reason why I shouldn't have wrote "group a and b" in the thread title XD

Everbody eyeing the trophy all of a sudden now that Flash and JD are out, lol.
Thanks for translating!
|
No Mind, you do no deserve to advance over Stork. The finals will feature Stork/Fantasy/Kal.
|
Many thanks for the interview. Surprisingly I don't hate Hogil for knocking Jaedong out. I kind of hope this will fuel Jaedong to play harder in the MSL and proleague. Also...
Go Stork! This is your OSL baby~
|
Jaedong
Now Hogil can become a monster in pl pretty please? Hogil fighting!

Kal has the correct mindset when he says he's aiming for the championship. BTW, STX has 3 players in the Ro8! The gold is ours to take!!

dang it why's jaedong out... he was the only fun player to watch in the OSL... no take that back... but i was really rooting for him after Flash got out cause I really was sad that flash was dominating,...

awwww too bad free interview isn't up. So weird to have flash and JD out this early, but I think that makes for a more interesting OSL in the end. grats to all the winners and thanks for the translation

an osl where shine and mind makes it other than baby, where flash and jd and bisu and free are out is the weirdest osl ever.
GO STORK GO CALM GO KAL I DONT CARE EITHER THE 3 OF YOU WIN PLEASE!

What I'm wondering is, will Jaedong be able to channel the rage into MSL?

I am so happy these 2 aren't in the finals, FINALLY after almost a year a final without either of these guys!

|
Hogil isn't the one to blame for JD being out, he's playing like a decent player who will probably benefit from this. The real problem here is Hiya for beating him yet doing absolutely nothing else of it. Thanks for the translations, although I noticed a few lines that were in present tense instead of past tense.
|
I think the final is going to be fantasy vs kal... but the maps will give toss the advantage so I think this OSL champion is going to be protoss ... by the way i hate stork so i really hope he lose at the tie-breakers...

I agree. Hiya sucks.
Thanks for the translation though oh mighty one.

kal stork (if he makes it) fantasy or shine. those imho are the only real contenders for this title. im hoping stork or fantasy. but id also be glad for kal, the guy is way too good to only have one finals appearance so far. he´d deserve a gold aswell.
(and in the end shine is gonna take it. QQ)
|
Once Shine takes this OSL Bisu's elimination will be all that much more legitimate.
Therefore.. Go Shine! I'm your biggest fan.

I remember when Hite Sparkyz had 4 people in the Ro8 for OSL. None of them won. 3 went on to be caught for matchfixing and Hite became one of the worst teams in proleague. Bad omens lie ahead for STX.
|
YESSS A OSL WITHOUT JAEDONG OR FLASH, Stork/Kal Fighting!!! lets win one for aiur
|
JD/Flash haven't been in an osl final since '08. This is gonna be pretty weird...
|
Oh man, all I can picture right now is Shine trolling all of protoss by knocking off Stork and Kal. Then he would slay three dragons in one OSL. Bisu, Stork, Kal. He'd be the most hated player of all time...at least with the protoss supporters.
|
Federer Nadal Djokovic and Murray all knocked out? nice.
I hope Stork makes it through :[[[

So what? You should never feel sorry for winning a game IMO. If you do, why should you even play the game?
You might be right about the reasons, but that's rly just you being a martyr, and I don't like that.. Maybe Korean fans like "polite" answers like that, I see them as complete s***... :D
|
I hope we get an interview with Jaedong soon, where he is asked about his game against Hogil. It was such a bad game from him. Probably the worst I've ever seen him play.
|
Kal looks like Hwasin in that pic o_o;
Sadface no Flash / JD... ... this is so wrong...
|
Man, Stork could face a tough tiebreaker if Shine and Mind really want to advance together. They could just throw the games they play against eachother to keep it going until they both beat Stork, unless Stork manages to beat them both. Hopefully they won't do that though.

LOL at how none of the progamers really gave a crap about Christmas.

MAN I feel for hogil on his last statement, it's not fair to be mean to someone because they win. I'll just respectfully not cheer.
Thank you for the translations. Did free not get one, seeing as he was already out?
All the matches from here on out are going to be so tense. Good stuff's coming. I'm pumped.

Yo, I hope Stork and MIND advances and not Shine. Stork NEEDS MORE TERRANS!

Stork, please win tie breakers and then take the OSL! I would love to see Stork with another gold.

I would honestly like to see Fantasy take a gold for once. He's been so utterly screwed and to lose this chance again would be devastating.

Stork has to beat Shine to advance...I'm so sad right now. Shine=bane of the TaekBang.

First post here on TL and first time translating an interview (yes I am 100% Korean indeed, but my speaking and listening skills >>> reading/writing skillsx9000); thought I would translate Free's interview seeing how it's FOX vs. Stars tomorrow and Stars fans are probably wondering how their clutch Protoss player is doing. (Although my favorite Team is SKT1, I still support all Protoss players out there, even if they're on KT. ) I need all the practice I can get for my rusty Korean! (Along with my crappy Japanese; if there's any BW articles out there in Japanese I'd be happy to translate those too. ;__;)
Group D winner: free
![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/TGerr.jpg)
- Your thoughts on getting a victory after 2 losses ▲ Last time in Starleague, I won against Fantasy and had a vZ 9 record winning streak, which is why it seemed like I felt pressured going against Hydra. The truth is that getting knocked out was not an option for me, but since I also haven’t been doing that well in Proleague, my pace seemed to have suddenly dropped. Thinking about it, every game of mine seemed to have been regrettable.
- You were in danger of getting 3 losses ▲ Since I was in a situation where either winning or losing would still mean elimination, I practiced and talked with others half-heartedly, but in the end, I personally wanted to do my best and did not want to go down with 3 losses.
- This match seemed to be overwhelming ▲ From watching lots of VODs, it seems that Zergs really do well on Pathfinder. Disregarding that, I personally felt that Protoss could still do as well, and with that self-confidence, it seems that the results of my efforts have finally paid off.
- Things aren’t going well with your team in Proleague ▲ It’s been really hard on me recently because of that. Since I’ve been so out of it, my games also seem to reflect this, so I hope I can return to my proper mindset soon. I know that it’s not because of me that my team has been losing so much, but since I feel really sorry towards my fellow teammates, I want to go out and start winning in Proleague quickly again. Truthfully, if I had lost again today, I would have fallen into an even deeper slump, but through this broadcasted game I rediscovered the importance of winning even once. I’ll have to start thinking about climbing up the ranks again.
- Tonight is Christmas Eve ▲ Christmas is important, which is why when I was a student I used to go to church on that day and such, but after becoming a pro gamer, Christmas doesn’t really have a special meaning anymore. Although I will be practicing hard as usual, if we can make people whether they are solo or are couples have a fun Christmas, that would be good; if our team would ignore our losing streak and be able to enjoy Christmas together with everyone else, that would be great.
- Any last words you want to say? ▲ I want to show games worthy of my name in the future. Recently I’ve been really disappointed at myself, but I won’t show that side of me anymore and will show you only good games from here on.
Source: www.fomos.kr
If there's any mistakes/typos, please point them out!
Also, I'd like to add a little "Lost in Translation" section here. With translations, it's hard to convey the original tone of the speaker. Free here sounded like he had lost quite a lot of confidence in himself before finally winning a game against Modesty, so he seemed really relieved. It seems that the Stars team is in a really heavy mood after all of their losses recently, but with Free gaining a bit of self-confidence again, we may see a renewed Stars team tomorrow. Let's hope that Free comes through the clutch again tomorrow! Stars hwaiting! (And T1 too, I hope they crush MBC tomorrow, even though I do have a soft spot for them. xP)
And yes, it is indeed a bit sad how pro gamers have no time to celebrate Christmas and have to spend all their time practicing for matches instead. But hey, they have fanclubs and get showered with gifts from their fans, so... I digress.
