I actually thought of making a new thread for this, but posting it here now.

I got inspired to write this post when I saw last night 20+ people in op teamliquid! Granted, 10 of them were afk, but every (popular) channel has it's fair share of "afkers". It seems that by popular consensus, this is now the channel for Teamliquid, a successor of once popular op irc ( RIP ). The atmosphere was great, everyone seemed to be having fun and it wasn't long until the popular Racewars started happening. There were even a couple of streams here on Teamliquid, streaming all the fun.

Now I've got an idea to make this channel even more accessible and coordinated, so I've set up a BOT in it that will be online 24/7. This is not an "official" BOT, it's just the means to provide some neat things. Like this:

By positioning your mouse over a person in channel, you can see when was he last active, so it's easier to spot the afkers.


To make the channel even more active, we should schedule more things happening. Last night proved that Racewars are always popular and fun. And there are plenty of more things that we could do, just from the top of my head:
- 2v2v2v2
- Free For All
- Phantom BGH
- FUNDAY MONDAY!!!
- Custom maps - kona said he would make a custom map(s) specifically for this purpose. That would be pretty interesting.
etc...

Also, besides having a casual games on weird maps, we could also schedule to play more serious 1v1's, if anyone wants to really improve. I'm sure there would be ton of people willing to help.
