Flash: I'd like to apologize to ForGGI hope ForGG hyung can forget today's match and play well at GwangAhnRi
- You took the lead by winning the first game. ▲ The coach told me to relax before the game. I can't let this match affect the Proleague Finals. Teamkills are brutal, so I hope the player who advances can make the MSL finals.
- How'd you practice? ▲ I pretty much didn't practice. Not so much because it was a teamkill, but because the important match is at GwangAhnRi, so there was no time to practice for MSL. Even though ForGG hyung lost today, I hope he will perform very well at the Proleague Finals in GwangAhnRi.
- Why do you think you won? ▲ I took an advantage in the opening, and the game went very well for me.
- You're going to GwangAhnRi soon, so what do you want to say to ForGG? ▲ I don't have much to say other than "I'm sorry." I just hope that we will all perform well at GwangAhnRi.
- Are you confident in the upcoming Grand Finals? ▲ I have unbridled [T/N: literally "incomparable"] confidence right now. I feel like I've reached my peak condition. Before I've said that I need to get myself to good condition [T/N: I feel like this sounds somewhat like "find my mojo"] but I've improved since then. I'd have confidence in the finals even right now.
- Before you said you wanted a perfect record up to GwangAhnRi, but yesterday you changed it and said you want a perfect record after GwangAhnRi too. [T/N 全胜 = complete victory? perfect record? lol] ▲ I realized that a perfect record up to GwangAhnRi doesn't imply a perfect record while I'm there, so I changed it (laughs).
- Last words? ▲ There isn't much time until the GwangAhnRi finals. Because I've practiced amply, I am incomparably confident. I feel like this will be a happy finals to me--not just my team and I, but I hope the audience will have a great time too.

Fantasy: My condition is better than Flash'sI'm very happy to win before the Grand Finals in GwangAhnRi
[T/N: Flash is nicknamed "pope," or literally, "founder of the religion" in Chinese........]
- How do you feel after your win? ▲ In these kinds of series matches, the first set is very important, so I'm very happy that I could take the first set. I'm even happier that I could win my last match before the Proleague Grand Finals in GwangAhnRi.
- You chose to cheese. ▲ I bet Calm had a lot of trouble analyzing my play [T/N: literally "his head probably hurt"]. Today I used a strategy I haven't used in a long time, and won. I defeated Calm with strategy.
- You must be very disappointed to be eliminated from the OSL. ▲ I was indeed very sad after being eliminated. I had great expectations in the OSL, but I felt bad after being eliminated. Next season, no matter what, I will make the finals.
- You seem to run into Calm a lot. ▲ When I was a rookie, the older players would all tell me: "As long as you play an opponent early on, you'll keep playing him a lot." In order to gain the psychological edge against such a player, you have to defeat him very badly.
- It seems like you have good results against STX players. ▲ It's not that I'm good against STX players, but rather that every time the Grand Finals in GwangAhnRi are approaching, my condition improves. I'm very confident right now.
- You're the last of your team to arrive in GwangAhnRi. ▲ I hope to meet up with them soon. Pusan is my hometown, so every time I compete in Pusan I become very excited. But I'm disappointed that the ticket I bought is at 8PM, so I can't go back right away. Even though I'm physically in Seoul right now, my heart has already been in Pusan for a long time.
- How is your condition? ▲ My current condition is better than Flash's (laughs). Since he also says his condition is very good, but since I'm playing at home shouldn't I have an advantage? (laughs) It's not only me; my whole team's condition is very good, so we're sure to do well in the finals.
- Last words? ▲ Today I pretty much guessed how Calm would play, so I won easily. I prepared a lot for the match in GwangAhnRi, so I'd like to ask everyone to await my results there.

Oooooh, Flash at his peak. So scary... watch out SKT

man i'm really pumped for finals

I think this is the first time I've ever seen Flash say he's had 'enough practice.' He hasn't had proleague for three weeks and isn't even practicing for the MSL, just to pour it all into the finals. Flash is going to be terrifying.

I have much respect for Flash taking the Proleague Grand Finals way more important than his singles glory.

gonna laugh when flash plays the game of his life and skt wins 4-1

Just thought I'd say thanks for the translation. I love reading these but I feel sometimes the translators don't get enough recognition because there's usually very few posts in the interview translation threads.
THANKS!!

Most people in progaming do, but nonetheless i agree :D
ForGG will more than definetly appear on the roster, I hope to see him rape some SKT zerg arse :D
|
Now he's at his peak? What were the last four starleagues, a warm-up?
SKT had better pray that he gets matched up against Soo. Thus far, SKT have been relying on always pulling through in the ace (haven't they won every single ace match?), but now the tables are turned --- they are the ones who stand to lose everything if they can't close it out in five or six games.
Thinking about it that way, I actually think KT has a very good chance. Their non-Flash players need to win 2 games out of 5, with at least 2 failzergs and a middling Terran (Canata) on the enemy line-up. If Flash takes out one of the big 3 in his regular match, SKT will be hard-pressed to avoid the ace.
Overall I give KT 65-35, assuming that Flash is undefeatable except by a Fantasy proxy build. (I believe this is true, but we will have to see --- in my defense, the ace map is Fighting Spirit and not something like Match Point where I would be frightened for Flash.)

lol Flash. "at his peak"? Lol wow look out.
But is it just me, I kinda sense that Flash is trying to assure himself too... if you're really at your peak, would you say stuff like that all the time? I'm pretty sure he's just trying to make his teammates, his fans, and himself more confident for the finals. His form of late has been far from his previous form when he wasn't "at his peak"...

Of course SKT fans are praying for no ace match. I have a feeling they'll get their wish but won't be happy about it.

Thanks for the translations! SKT has their work cut out for them....
|
A Korean being extremely self-confident and direct? Seems like it's part of his mindgames to scare SKT!

if it somehow gets to ace it will be bisu vs flash, and dt drop incoming
|
Bisu doesn't stand a chance vs Flash atm, hes kinda weak vT... I'd think Fantasy or Best would be a better ace pick vs him.

Flash doesn't need confidence to beat T1 but fOrGG does...so Flash should be throwing this series??
Thank you for the translation 343!

Last time he said he was at his peak, he went on a 22 win TvT streak and had everyone debating on whether or not he was a bonjwa.

updated with fantasy's.. oh wait someone did light vs effort YES
edit: can a mod edit my title to be... more... general
edit: thanks!

<3 fantasy!
It's hilarious these two interviews are in the same OP. Both players seem very confident and in good spirits in their different ways. Except Flash was bummed about his teamkill.
|
Haha both Fantasy and Flash seem to be pretty confident regarding the PL Finals.
Going to be so sweet. Can't wait.
|
thanks for translation!
fantasy seems a little cocky, but maybe he really is that confident. If he doesn't perform well in the next couple weeks I'm going to be a little disappointed in him.
Anyway, seems like both teams are very prepared, so PL finals should be a blast.
|
someone said it before
fantasy is making it seem that they will send fantasy to play flash, then send bisu to snipe. i bet ktflash is doing the same thing
calling a best vs stats final

I just would like to nitpick at 2 things in the translation:

I think "教主" is more equivalent to the position of the pope.

I think a better translation would be: In order to gain the psychological edge against such a player, you have to "rape" (literally: win with a overwhelming advantage against) him.

fantasy was probably just sick of playing calm and wanted to beat his ass. also too busy practicing for tommorow!

thanks for the suggestions-I'll add them in. (I was pretty unsure about the latter...)
