Here's a little history of what I recall from the period of Niza:
-At that time, he was considered one of the highest apm zerg (not sure was it 300s-400s). Chojja had high apm too I think, but he was part of old school thus not on the list.
-Someone uploaded some awesome replays of him playing during or before this thread was made (raping boxer/nada or someone similar)
-He never dominated, but probably because of charismatic reasons or amazing play from one or two games it made him be favoured in this poll

These points are just my impressions of him in 2004, so it may be wrong.

Everyone seems to forget that Niza was raping absolutely every top progamer from 2000-2002. He was pretty young, too. As I recall, he was only 15 when he played his first televised game and retired in 2002 because he had to concentrate on his senior year of high school. Also, it's not like the coach of Pantech went and pleaded with him to come back to his team or anything. He just asked if he could try and make a come back and the coach obliged. Who would have really thought that after taking a 2 year break that he could win his first televised game which was against Boxer of all people?

He also made Pantech's Proleague roster when most people expected him to be a practice partner.

So yeah, Niza was mildly amazing.

Have some reps from him from 2002, remember him as superfast and allaround good. Too bad he never "made it". Really sad to see so many people that have never heard of him, on the other hand it proves that there are alot of new people coming to the game after all these years.
