As the season is reaching it's end, I'm really sorry to see the players really tired~
The word "soul" in the team name is starting to feel a little awkward too.
To the players, what are you playing the game for? I think you all should think about that at this point. This isn't just to rebuke or criticize all of you.
The players have been under the cloak of a team, rather than as individuals, and have enjoyed good times and bad times together. At this point in time, when nothing seems to go well no matter how hard you try, you need comrades that will encourage and understand one another.
My son is also a member of this team. That's why I watch you guys with much love. I want to ask for a favor, as a person who is greatly looking forward to the team being able to reap the fruits of their labor and achieving victory.
To everyone on the team! Please play with less stress as soon as possible! The team's place right now is actually 2nd. Rather than being impatient, please take it easy for the finals. And while some of you may find it a bit disgusting, try hugging one another the harder the times get. You will each feel your warm hearts. The current situation isn't about skill. It's just that you guys have lost grasp of the flow temporarily. While you guys may be practicing a lot, please talk to one another more often. Because Proleague is not the individual league.
I don't understand the game very well. But I'm trying my best to understand.
Frost has a poem called "The road not taken". This poem was introduced to me by my son when he said that he wanted to walk the road of a progamer. Even if all of you took another road and not this one, all of you will definitely have regrets and disappointments about the road that you guys have not taken. However, I hope that you guys will be able to construct a life in the road you guys are currently taking, a life that is not embarrassing as a Progamer, a life that is filled with goals. You guys can then succeed.
Success is close to you guys. You players would have lived a successful life if you guys are doing something you want to do, and being able to do it with happiness. Results are something that follows naturally. Even if you have not seen the light in this world of progaming, if you have a diligent attitude, giving your all to whatever you do, then I believe you guys will be successful no matter what field you go into.
I send my sons a lot of mails with messages like this. This time I wanted to send a message to our players, so I posted it here [T/N: she posted it on a message board]. This is the conclusion~ Hug each other, talk with one another more often, and compliment one another often. If you apply this then I'm certain that you guys will stand at the top proudly. There's something called a Pygmalion Effect. The effect refers to results or abilities getting better due to the interest and expectations of others... meaning that the more you compliment one another, the better you will be.
Now~ I will expect something great from your teamwork! And I will cheer for you to the end!

Very interesting viewpoint on progaming, one we rarely ever get a glimpse into. Seems more encouraging than chastising ... don't know why anyone would think the coaching staff would be pissed about this.
That said I hope they lose so CJ can beat them in the playoffs.

I do not understand how any of you think this is a rant or her telling them off or anything of the sort...
It just seems like she is really sad to see the team down in spirits, and she even said that she sent letters like that to her sons all of the time.
It seems to me as though she wants them to feel better and to be more open and positive with each other, not some mindless robots who practice, lose, and are in some sort of dark place and a rut.

Haha nice, that's actually a pretty good letter. And it's kind of heartwarming to see a mom (especially an Asian mom!) that supports her son playing games wholeheartedly because she knows it makes him happy and it's his chance to stand out from the crowd. Which is not necessarily seen as a good thing by all moms in Asia! Anyways, cool mom, Cuteangel is lucky =p

State of mind, motivation and team spirit are a pretty good chunk of the things you need to succeed. Not only in BW. When you are on a downward slope, it's sometime really fucking hard to turn it around and start delivering again. Shoulders to lean on or comrades in the same situation can help out alot! If any of you was in the military, you might have caught a glimpse of this.
