Tempest
Thoughts on ending your PvZ losing streak? -I haven’t realized I’ve been on a losing streak. But now that I look back, it seems like PvZ was holding me back.
Your opponent was Hogil. -When practicing, it was 60% PvT and 40% PvZ. I didn’t eliminate the possibility of a Zerg opponent, so I was confident.
When did you realize you won? -I often would lose even after being in an advantageous position, so I don’t know since when, but now I tend to think I’m in the greatest danger when I have the biggest advantage. So until the moment my opponent types GG, I play like I could lose at any moment, so I never let my guard down.
Can we expect more from you in the future? -Of course. In R1 and R2 I played in games against Hite too, but I was lacking then, so the coaching staff can’t be fully confident sending me out. But even during my losing streak, they would still give me opportunities, which helped me be better. Now that I feel like I play better, my confidence is increasing, and people are saying I’ve turned from Version 1.0 to Version 2.0.
You went to watch the OSL finals. -When I felt the atmosphere, I really felt moved – it really was fitting for an OSL final. It’s an exciting atmosphere. I think that I want to stand on a stage like that at least once. When Flash lost after being ahead, everyone around me had an ugly expression, but when Flash himself came to us smiling, we could only smile with him. From this, you must admit, Flash’s attitude and mindset is really amazing. It really surprsied me.
Thoughts on SPL and individual leagues? -In SPL, I haven’t been doing so well lately. In the incoming R5, I need to do my part. A lot of people are also paying attention to my individual results, I will definitely play impressionable games.
Last words? -Thanks to teammates who helped me practice, and Coach HOT Forever who gave me suggestions.

Thoughts on winning? -Recently, people have been saying my TvT is lacking, so I prepared very seriously. Even though I can’t be fully satisfied, winning is still good. To be able to win more cleanly, I’ll work harder.
What are you unsatisfied about? -In the beginning, I was driving the game, but when we got the lategame, I felt like my opponent was controlling the flow of the game. I must improve on this point.
Not only are you streaking, the team did a clean sweep. -Because Flash just played a final, we couldn’t expect him to play. We’re glad we can win without Flash, and I hope we see results like this more often. We never want to hear “KTFlash” or “KT is a one-man team” again.
How did you practice? -I practiced with the Terrans on the team, mainly TvT. I watched VODs and I predicted Leta would play, but when I saw Puma, I was a bit surprised. I didn’t know much about Puma.
How were the OSL finals? -I went to see the games yesterday, and I thought Flash would 3-0. But he made some errors and lost in the end. I think, unlike me, he didn’t lose because he was a worse player. When I saw him walk out from the booth and congratulated Effort while smiling, I thought he was amazing. I knew that even if I didn’t go comfort him, he would be fine [laugh]
Do you have ambitions for individual leagues? -The prelims are starting soon, I hope to walk, step by step, into the finals.
Last words? -Thanks to the teammates who helped me practice.

Stats
Thoughts on sealing the victory? -Recently, Horang2 has played some good PvPs, which made me a bit nervous, but I still calmly faced my opponent, performed well, and won in the end. This makes me glad.
You’re on a 3-win streak, are you confident? -I originally expected Leta, so when Horang2 was sent out, I was nervous.
The proxy Robotics surprised you. What did you think when you saw the Shuttle? -I thought that even if I lost one Probe it would be a big disadvantage, but I was lucky and didn’t lose much. Then I found the proxy and luckily won the game.
You always play very calm and steadily in your games, which is a difficult feat. Thoughts? -I always strive to focus in games, and perform like I do in practice. I think I do well because of this.
You’re in contention for top Protoss in KT. -Even though it’s good to have a player who always wins, I think it’d be even better if the three Protosses work together and win together. We usually enjoy chatting together about games, and I think it’s good cooperation.
You watched the OSL finals. -Sitting in the immense crowd surprised me. Also, hearing the loud cheers from the fans gave me a strong desire to one day step on a stage like that. During the games, after Flash lost game 3, I thought he would immediately adjust and win 3-1, but unfortunately that wasn’t so. I hope Flash can quickly forget about this and win in the upcoming MSL.
Last words? -Flash is going to play another final soon, I hope he wins.

It's so great to see them win without Flash, and I hope they can keep it up. I also feel reassured after reading their opinions on the OSL finals. I'm positive Flash will beat Jaedong now.
Thank you for the translation.

Wow FINALLY... I was waiting for this interview the whole day. Thanks! KT won without Flash! Oz's interview was done like 2 hour after their game was over.. KT need moar love. Thanks again

Good to know Flash wasn't crushed by the loss... at the same time though looking at games 3-5 his apparent "carefree" attitude showed :/.
Oh well, MSL BABY

FlaSh was obviously smiling because he made a lot of money with this fixed match!

i dont get how flash was in such a pleasant mood after the finals. when boxer lost to anytime, he was fucking devastated even though he had 2 OSL titles under his belt.
when nada lost to savior... do you not remember his facial expression? the most successful gamer with 6 SL titles spirit being crushed by losing in the finals.
i dont get flash. i respect and admire his gameplay, but how can he be in such a good mindset RIGHT AFTER AN OSL LOSS!
i just don't understand personally.

Because shit happens and so long as you're confident in who you are and comfortable in your own skin, you can accept that shit happens and move on. Flash knows that he'll have a chance again. It's not as if he's a falling star or something. He's still at the top of the game.

This season seems like a weird time to switch to SKT right now. O.o
Not much going good for SKT atm. Heck, I just switched to CJ.
I would be really surprised if KT can keep up this "we don't need Flash to win shit" record.

so mannered... Flash I bow down! Flash mentioned in interviews even when he loses and doesn't play
|
If Flash is extremely upset people will criticize him and say "you've gotta be able to get over losses if you want to stay on top".
If Flash gets over his loss quickly and congratulates his opponent pleasantly afterward people will criticize him and say "shouldn't you be more upset that you just lost? you don't have the same competitive fire that makes <insert player here> great"
What's a kid to do.

haters gonna hate no matter what.
But to be honest I am surprised he was so calm after the loss. He had just missed an opportunity to win golden mouse after being 2:0 in bo5 series and he seemed quite nervous while playing (his eye had been twitching while he had been playing).
On the other hand I am really glad he took his loss that calmly. This shows incredible maturity of Flash and hopefully it will only affect him positively and mobilize further for the upcoming super final.
