If you look past the face value of that statement you have to attribute it to insecurity or just bad personality. Someone really confident who has any sense of class would just state he doesnt prepare much for it and is confident in his abilities without any further explanation.

I clearly remember nal_ra mentionning in a interview that after bisu won his third MSL he was commentating and then told him "you are the first protoss with 3 titles you are now a more accomplished player than me" (ra won 1 OSL and 1 MSL)
OSL is bigger of course for prestige (OSL finals is on public korean channel) but OSL isn't more difficult to win. One title is one title
