Indeed, January really sucks as a coach. I'm not sure about your point. Stork said TOTM was playable right before he played July, only to go for a 3-gate speedlot rush, which was timed so precisely and so extreme he had to kill his own probe to free up psi. My point is that Stork tends to take things in stride, and not make excuses. But Stork consistently goes for rush style when the maps aren't favorable. And more economy based plays on favorable or balanced maps.

▲ I’ve been thinking about this for a while since prelims and last season. Unfortunately, I have no records unlike other players so I want to make “Most Consecutive Appearance in RO16 OSL” record so I can leave my name in the history books. Does anyone know what the currect record is?

- You look a lot different ▲ I changed my lifestyle a bit. Instead of a lazy man, I decided to live more like a diligent and hard working man. As important as gaming is, I started to realize a healthy life pattern will also give me better results. Not to mention, the better I take care of myself the more my fans will be pleased, which is why I burned some weight. I wish I can show a much better and improved self until my last days as a progamer. This means "I HAVE A GF"

Yes, I'm about 80% sure that a lot of it has to do with coaching But it's too early to hit the panic button: Considering the results January's gotten overall, I wouldn't try to tear apart KHAN's coaches too fast. Whether KHAN gets back to form really depends on how long and how well she adjusts to new RL situations - meaning she's married now. A couple new solid players wouldn't hurt either, but hey. (As for Woongjin, they've been kind of sucky for a long time, but I have no idea of their coaching situation.) It's been a bit long. Once a khan player hit the slump, he failed to recover and the whole positive working atmosphere crumbled it seems. I'm not sure if they should fire January, but they do need help getting the guys out of slump and overall terrible situation, January isn't the only person in Khan organization. They need a couple of guys to kick their ass, who were the young guys themselves and know how to make a right impression. With Woongjin you can almost feel how the talent starves on this team currently. They would win some games and look great, then would hit rock bottom in both results and performance, that's not a sign of proper discipline.

January is undoubtedly very capable on the strategic side of things, but there is a motivation issue here. This has nothing to do with her sex or anything, but often when a team has a coach for a long time players stagnate, and often a solution to this is a change of coaching staff. I know this is common practice in the NHL when teams under perform or slump. Look at how much harder Torts managed to push the Rangers last year during the playoffs. I think January has done a brilliant job, but after a point even the best coaches can't do anything and to me it looks like Khan has reached that point.

I'm fairly sure the current Samsung slump has similar origins and that Samsung will be strong again in the near future.

Just for your info, January is one of the best coaches of all PL, and one of the main reasons why Samsung got from the sucking waiter-uniform team to one of the most feared ones, with all home-breed players that she had the eye to recognize the talent and the leadership to help them develop their talent. I won't tag your comment as sexist and chauvanistic because it's true that starcraft is a widely male-dominated world, but it doesn't mean a woman can't be a better coach than most of her male colleagues.
