KeSPA comes up with a "brilliant" idea of a tournament combining Special Force and Starcraft!
Since it's off season, KeSPA is holding a tournament where six progaming teams, KT, MBC Game, hite, eSTRO, SK Telecom T1, STX, compete in both Starcraft AND Special Force to determine the "proleague champion."
The Format:
1Set: Special Force Best 8 of 14 Rounds
2Set: Starcraft 1v1
3Set: Special Force Best 8 of 14 Rounds
4Set: Starcraft 1v1
ACE: Special Force Best 8 of 14 Rounds
Note: All 5 matches will be played regardless of who wins the first three/four sets.
The Maps:
Special Force: Train, Neo Missile, KF815
Starcraft: Destination, Heartbreak Ridge
The Schedule
Sept. 5th 13:00 KST: KT vs MBC @ OGN
Sept. 6th 13:00 KST: hite vs eSTRO @ MBC
Sept. 12th 13:00 KST: SKT1 vs STX @ OGN
Sept. 13th 13:00 KST: Revival Round @ MBC
Sept. 19th 13:00 KST: Semifinals 1 @ OGN
Sept. 20th 13:00 KST: Semifinals 2 @ MBC
Finals: Undecided
The rosters will be posted the Wednesday @ 12:00 KST before the matches!

wtheck it should really be starcraft for the ace match, since starcraft is the more popular game.

No chance of starcraft ACE match? wtf. Should at least be randomized or something. It's clearly a promotion for SF, but I don't think FPS games will ever be watchable.

This has nothing to do with KESPA feeling threatened by Blizzard for SC2/SC broadcast rights and encouraging SC fans to start to enjoy korean games like special force. dodododooddoododDODODODOODODODODDODODODODODODO

LOL What the hell is this? Although I'm kinda curious to see which progamer is best at FPS. Or do they actually get SF gamers to play those sets?

SF Gamers. Special Force has its own proleague you know.
