Hey guys! I Recently swapped to Terran, and went from being a solid diamond Protoss to a barely gold Terran (I was actually losing half of my games on an alt account vs golds / silvers, the account was in silver). so i figured, whats the best way to celebrate? A battle report of the game which got me promoted (Actually an "Epic" game)

So here we go-- After i worked out how to play Terran, I Pushed my MMR up to high plat / low diamond, even though the account was still silver, and the game which got me promoted was vs a plat Zerg

My opponent is the strong, silent type.

A very standard, 4:30 zerg natural, where's the hidden hatch?

apparently he didn't need a 3rd hatch or a fast natural anyways, they don't really help at all.

It's not very effective.. (He almost killed a worker, but just damaged some)

Turns out Terran bio kills stuff pretty quick.

Maybe base-racing someone with a self-healing army and flying buildings wasn't the best choice /:

oh gosh i lost my CC, now he can see my flying buildings in the corner of the map, which bio can't defend |:

Do you have any idea how long it takes a barracks to cross a 4 player map while being harassed by a zerg who is maxed on mutas (12 mutalisks)? The longest 5 minutes of my life.
Oh well. here's the final battle.

it went somewhat in my favor, but he's still maxed on (3) Mutalisks, why doesn't he fly in and kill my pitiful bio? He has it won! (this is what i actually thought in-game)

3 hero marauders split off from the group to kill his last extractor. overlords look on in horror.
my silent adversary leaves without saying a word.

this is the win/loss ratio it took to be promoted from Silver > Gold while playing against purely platinum players.

ohh i wish i was diamond, blizzard promoted my silver account to gold, after winning 80% of games vs plat/diamonds for ~50 games >.<

it feels really sloppy and poorly written compared to the battle reports that inspired it, i will put a lot more effort into future reports, and maybe make a blog worth reading! :D

there is always room for improvement in anyones play. I believe that yes, right now, TvZ is an issue, terran struggle a little too much at the very top level of play, but I don't think that's due to game imbalance, terran just need to work out ways around it.

And anyone below the very top level of play has other aspects of their gameplay they could improve to win anyways, and has no right to complain about tiny things, which probably don't even effect them as much as they think

Am i the only one who gets annoyed at how TL cant just resize pictures to fit inside their posts...

im not opening every single picture in a new window just to be able to see them -_-

This site is like 10 years old, u think they would figure it out by now....

But anyway, congratulations on promotion

also, I play tons of korean terrans every day and I lose constantly because they are just fucking good. On NA server, i barely lose to any Terran outside GM. I lose to diamonds on KR server. Kor Terrans just dont give up...Ive lost so many games that were really really close

Food for thought.

I guess it could be done a bit differently, I think one way you could do this is make it where the text is on the pic? Idk I'm fine with it and thought it was cool, but maybe to help people like this there could be some red color or blue color or any color on the text?
