If you're looking for someone to tell you what to write or what to do, that's kind of less an offer of helping the community and more asking someone to coach you lol. | ||

My advice is to write things, post them, work on refining your craft, and see where it goes! Being self motivated is one of the key aspects, if you are in the habit of writing fun things consistently that gives us little reason to say you can't help us on a more official level. | ||

I have had a couple of articles published in local newspapers and some music related media sites, I am currently writing a sci-fi novel and it's really hard work!!!!! My best piece of advice has been gained through many years of my own experience and the recieved wisdom of other writers and musicians and it is very simple: Haters gonna hate, don't let people get you down. Unless they are an english professor, professional writer, editor, agent or otherwise well versed in what makes good writing their opinion is just that, an opinion. Even those who do know what they are talking about can be wrong. Criticism is great, even from people who don't know the first thing about writing, but you shouldn't ever let someone with no clue stop you from writing. Write because you love doing it and you will always find an audience, write what you know and don't be afraid to fail. Ok that was a little less simple than i thought it would be, but still some sage advice. None the writers you admire were afraid of what people might think about their writing. | ||
