I've been to your state and you're selling it short... (NH on the coast is really nice too!) I love New Hampshire! Hanover is a wonderful college town, stop over there for lunch. The White Mountains are beautiful, for hiking or just enjoying nature. There are a couple of easier trails around the Highland Center at Crawford Notch, which is just South of the Mt. Washington Hotel. The hike to Zealand falls is also a very simple and easy trip, but the falls are very nice. The presidential range offers great hiking, but you could also be a lame idiot and drive up Mt. Washington, instead of walking up. (You'll feel so much better about yourself if you walk). But I highly recommend you visit either Franconia Notch w/ the (now noseless) Man on the Mountain, and maybe take a quick trip up Layfayette, or the aforementioned Crawford Notch and chill at the Highland Center/Jackson/Webster/Field/ or any of those mountains. Don't forget to take deep breaths and look at the (new and improved) stars. | ||
