He lives in Fort Washington, Maryland. Amazing read, would definitely recommend it. I can only imagine the crap soldiers had to go through during the war. Not knowing who was the enemy be it an old man or a kid. Had to be terrifying.  | ||

My recommendation would be "When Heaven and Earth Changed Places" by Le Ly Hayslip, which centers around the life of Hayslip who lived in a village on the "line" between the north and the south. Reading about her life between the Americans and Vietcong was really captivating. Another book that comes to mind would be Graham Green's "The Quiet American," which, however, talks about the French in Vietnam in the 1950s written from the view of a British reporter. | ||
