Xunlei is the worst, their video streaming service along with their torrent client soaks up 99% of your bandwidth and there is no options to limit it's UL and DL.

I do use uTorrent.. but my dad uses BitComet.. I think because it has language options.
Either way, I am just angry at my loss after such an intense game where I came out victorious.

Man that sux I've had that happen to me. I drop in games that I had won and it sucks. What sucks even more is he drops when I have a clear advantage and the iccup admin thinks otherwise. I once had a hysterical comment from an admin: "The protoss had a 2nd hidden base so it's unclear who would have won" when I was like 40+ supply ahead rofl I was so pissed.
Oh and I was gaming today on iccup and THIS guy dc'd after I raped him. can't wait for my complaint to go through. Hehehe.

Threaten to turn him in for sharing copyrighted data (hell it probably is)! Well I wouldn't actually recommend that... but maybe you could somehow limit his use of it. Like, is he seeding or just downloading files actively? If the latter, then you can always check if it's done downloading.
edit: or maybe just ask him to keep it on overnight while everyone is asleep etc... of course consider what Sonuvbob and Manifesto7 suggested.

This happens all the time for me, actually. I lose connection from the iCCup server whenever someone at my house makes or gets a phone call, but am still able to finish the game. If I end up winning there is no stat change, but if I lose, I lose my points. I've failed to receive probably over 1000 points because of this, but you learn to live with it. It's just a few games, and you should be able to easily make up for it by winning some more. You shouldn't be playing for WL records, anyways.

You can complain loss and get it changed to a draw if you clearly didn't lose the game

Yup. While there definitely are better torrent clients out there compared to BitComet, the program itself isn't that bad. Like bob said, define an upload/download limit in the settings and you're good to go.
edit: I remember the times at home when I'd freak out at my sisters when SC would start to lag. I'd accuse them of downloading something without asking me first lol. Now they always ask me if it's ok to download something when I'm gaming at my parents place. xD
