The only reason why Barbarossa was so succesful in the beginning was, that the soviet union wasnt prepared for a german attack ( even tho stalin was warned like 70times). After the loss at Moscow the blitzkrieg lost its drive and hitler decided to attack the Kaukasus for oil, because the german arms industry already ran out of oil + many tanks didn't survive the russian climate + they were completely ineffective against the russian T34. But at that time the russian arms industry was completely established in Siberia, while the german supplies already lacked in the first years of the war. So he decided to attack Stalingrad, because it was necessery to have get a save position for an attack on the Kaukasus and especially Baku And even when Barbarossa would have been succesful, you have to see the fact that the first nuke was originally addressed to Berlin... | ||
