War3 is only popular because China showed some results. Other scenes are crap. People play games but government policies and cultural resistances = no meaningful development of professional scenes. Kids will get into gaming at college then quit when they found a job. | ||

However, I find it suprising that European countries were mentioned as some of the leading countries in the e-Sports industry. Do not get me wrong, Europe has a very vivid competitive scene in a great variety of games. But the industry itself still remains a joke, particularly in comparison to the Korean e-Sports industry. | ||
