Ok, I'm right in the middle of what I would call a "illness and consultation marathon" and I somehow feel the need to write about this because it makes me feel depressed and anxious:
WARNING: This is a rather long read, you'll find a tl;dr on the bottom.
2 Weeks ago, I suddenly was struck with severe stomach pain out of nowhere. I went to see my doctor who prescribed me antibiotics and stomach-calming medication. After some days of taking medication, my eyes began to hurt and water like hell, which is why I was sent to see an oculist. The oculist didn't find anything particular and prescribed some eye drops. So far, so good, but it turned out that I was far from the clear yet:
When I finally was allowed to stop taking the antibiotics, I suddenly felt that a part of my penis was aching and burning to a point where I almost couldn't take it anymore. This is why I went to see a urologist ASAP. He gave me some disinfectant medicine and sent me home. However, the pain didn't really stop, but it moved from the penis to the scrotum area, where it still persists.
Yesterday, it aggravated to an unbearable point, prompting me to see a "emergency doctor". I got a very thorough check-up with ultra-sonic imagery and blood/urine test as well. They didn't find anything particular and told me to go to another urologist again.
Today, I found out that the pain seems to focus around an area of a mole I didn't know about. Aching moles can be an indication for skin cancer and my phenotype is seen as a high-risk group. Therefore, I have to go see a dermatologist ASAP in addition to a further meeting with my urologist.
When tomorrow is over, I'll have consulted 5 different doctors for a total of 8 times within 2 weeks of time.
Add to that a rather hypochondriac personality and you get two weeks of depression and fear, all while I try to prepare for my university tests.

Has anybody around here ever had such a accumulation of consultations?

I suggest going to the hospital immediately, where they should send you to the appropriate specialist.
That's how it works here in Singapore anyway... hope you do okay

I've been having something similar spanning a few months (and two exam periods). Started with some surprise projectile vomiting and after that the story is similar to yours just with different symptoms. It was to the point that i couldn't sleep at all every other night and was getting some kind of panic anxeity whenever it got on my mind. I've gotten some blood tests and a camera shoved down my throat, nothing wrong so far.
Feeling better now after I've got some routine back in my day to day life and basically not drinking any soda or energy drinks (and improved eating habits slightly).

Thanks man, I hope it will turn out ok. Actually, it was kind of difficult to figure out the appropriate doctor, since there were so many changes in the symptomes. But tomorrow, I'll see another urologist and the dermatologist, so I expect that they can bring some clarity.

This sounds really shitty as well, especially because your problems lasted much longer than mine have been lasting so far. I actually feel pretty good overall and I got enough sleep thanks to my GF's calming words. It's just the pain around the scrotum/mole area which I'm so very afraid of. If both doctors tell me everything's ok tomorrow, I'm going to be such a happy man..

Just go to the hospital and get a bunch of tests done. You'll be fine, don't worry man....

Problems:
stomach pain
loss of vision
penis itching (induced by antibiotics?)
scrotum itching (allergy to antibiotics)
ultrasonic and urine test made by Cameron
What can it be?
1. Lupus
2. MRSA
3. Chronic pain
Maybe you need some vicodin.

I don't think you are hypochondriac. It's perfectly normal to worry about it.

A general advice if you have a tendency to act hypochondriac: don't try to solve your medical problems on your own. You will get the worst ideas. You should close this thread (ask a mod to close it maybe? before someone suggests its leprosy and you start worrying about that.), stop looking at things on the internet, and leave your diagnosis to the doctors. 4+2 doctors should be plenty.
Maybe preparing for the exams could turn out to be a good distraction, try like getting together with people to revise, so you cannot procrastine and hypochondriate on your own. (is there such a word at all? )

Thx man, I guess you're right. I have to stop doing research on my own, this is only going to cause me to worry even more. Also, today a friend of me came over and we studied together, so everything was pretty fine and I was distracted.
