I find it stranger to think that before we were born into this world billions of years passed in the creation of the Universe and that after we die billions of more years will pass all without us knowing it. Have you ever looked at the moon and realized that we are all beings, standing on a planet, watching a huge rock orbit us, with planets and stars in the distance? We are standing on a PLANET. A celestial body. An insignificant portion of the universe.
And our existence ends when we die. Forever.

I believe we cease to exist, completely, when we die. I might be pleasantly surprised to discover otherwise when my time comes, but I really really really doubt it.
This belief, however, doesn't make me feel bad like some people say it does/should.
I just try to enjoy life.

I think that your concious creates reality. Since we are made up of really small stuff when we die we will turn back into that stuff. I dont know but I think after I die I will lose all the memories and stuff of this life. Then wat am I if I dont have anything from this life? I have nothing but a new self concious will be create and I can look at the reality again but it doesnt have anything that I have from the previous life. Then it is me or not? I dont know in the end I guess after you die you are gone. kinda sad ending...

Out of my control, so i do not worry about it. Just like I do not worry about Koreans on iccup, because those games too are out of my control.

The way I see it people just die and that's that.
No soul transcends, no white light, no paradise, nothing. You just die and cease to exist. And isn't it a little egoistic to believe you have a soul but my cat doesn't? Why are you more important to the nature than my cat? You both have brains which work in similar patterns and etc.
The way I view Earth is like it is a particle in the Universe and a huge ecosystem for all the living beings on it. And when a living being dies it is insignificant for the whole ecosystem. When a species dies it can create a niche which is filled by another species and that's the whole cycle. Only a huge cataclysm can shatter this balance and we know those cataclysms - meteors, nuclear weapons, losing the ozone layer etc.

i'm not worried about death. I'm not particularly spiritual, but i figure that when the time comes, either i'll just stop existing, or who knows, i'll go to the afterlife. Both of them dont sound so terribly unpleasant.

Just remember, life is a garden, DIG IT
:D
Actually none truly knows that we get 1 life . Even tho i'm orthodox I tend to believe that we will have more than one life but we'll never know this .

When you die you wake up in the StarCraft universe

If you are referring to matter that you are build from, then you are wrong becouse atoms that create you change constantly, you are build from diferent atoms then you were last year. Ultimately it is all the same rock, worm, and you is build from the same thing, the only thing that is diferent is how that thing is connected, how those atoms interact with each that result in your brain, or the worm. As soon as this specific correlation case to exist you will not exist.
You could alweys say that you can't be sure, but you can't be sure about anything, you can't be sure that there is no invisibole assassin in your house, and worrying about it seems as reasonable as worrying about after death scenarios. Beyond reasonable doubt we know that there are no invisibole assassins, and that there is no life after death, based on everything that we know about how the world works, and what is life.

To me, you die and become a rotting corpse. What else is there to think about?

Nobody knows. Some say everything just ends, some say there's an afterlife. But in the end, nobody knows for sure.

Death happens to everyone. Thinking about what happens, insisting you just become a rotting corpse or that you go to this magical afterlife won't change what actually happens.
Once you accept death as a part of life, life becomes so much more beautiful

Topics like these leave me torn. One on hand I believe that nothing happens, you just die and cease to exist. You don't know it, you don't feel it, it's just over. But if that is true than what the fuck is the point, just do whatever the fuck you want, cause in the end it doesn't even matter (lol). If you realize this and disregard it and just live out your life, it's like you sold out and are doing all the standard life struggle shit like every other sheep.
Like even if you were to argue that you can live a happy, rich life. We all die and it won't make a bit of difference. Since the ends are all the same the means aren't justified.

To me, life and the afterlife is like a tasty sandwich. You know how sometimes you cut a sandwich in half and then you eat the first half and think you're all done, but then you realize that you have a whole other half of deliciousness to go through? That first half would be life, and the second half would be my afterlife. I'm content with the first half, but just as happy to know there's more to come.

When you die it´s like you have never ever lived. Or anything else to that matter. There´s nothing to suggest otherwise.

Who knows, all the more reason to have a bitchin' life while you're alive, son.
