There's quite a bit of choppiness between BaBy and the rest of the wallpaper(the main pic of his him on the right). Something to make him "blend in" more, that wouldn't make it look like it was fitted in in paint, would be nice(I.E. a blurr or something, different colour background, etc). Not trying to be a dick, but just some criticism

The image of him on the left looks much better IMO. Also, if this is meant as a wallpaper, most people use 1680x1080 or 1280x1024 or something for their resolution, so maybe make it appeal to those as well? It is somewhat squarish.

thanks. I was having in mind a minimalist desktop user (2-3 icons) since its quite messy piece. Kinda like a mid 90s pop art or something. It is in fact 1280x1024. I'll try a sleaker look next time, maybe for flash since he's a pimp.

I was trying to look for something positive to say but I couldn't spot anything that was good. That may sound harsh but that is what I think about it. Bad color mix, cheap grain/whatever filter, horrible stroke at the edges of the front part, horrific glow too, weird saturation and color contrast, sloppy cut-out, bad typography (a graffiti font can be cool, but not like this), there's no balance in the left and right side which just makes it look imbalanced overall.

I could have sugarcoated it but I won't, people didn't do that when I started using PS either and it helped me get better. I was trying to look for something that was not bad and you could improve on but couldn't quite find anything. However, keep on practising, it's the only way to get remotely decent at gfx.

To put it bluntly: It looks really ugly.

To go more in depth, the best place to start would be to do a better job on the cut-out picture of Baby. He looks really... Over-contrasted and orange.

Over all it just lacks flow and style. Very, very chaotic and choppy.

Be easy on the guy he will improve, in the beginning my wallpapers sucked as well and now they are still very bad. If I may have some critics its a very general thing - its not the effects that are making a good wallpaper good - its the simplicity. You are not spending 5 hours on your desktop so the picture there shouldnt be something screaming and chaotic. With that line of thoughts you organized the layout pretty well - Baby is using just enough space and you are trying to use the background in a good way. But I dont get the hole idea and why you've done what you've actually done. If you want to achieve smth specific search the internet for tutorials and if you want to keep the thing "freestyle" and create the image on your own, keep it simple in the beginning learn one technique after another and take Baby steps

for example you have not done a good job with cutting baby's photo. Keep practicing till you master the Lasso tool and finally make the outlines smoother. Dont use many filters, they are by far not the best thing about PS and in most of the cases they are just butchering the image. I dont have great photoshop skills, but I'm keeping my stuff simple so that ppl cant see how lame I'm. With each new image I'm using the tricks from the last one but I'm adding something small and new. You should do the same

Holy christ that terrible. You made him a jaundiced Kim Jong Il and then turned up the contrast to maximum just to make it look even worse. And then there's the blue/green half-circle thing that you did in Paint apparently.

I suggest a college course in photoshop or at the very least a pair of glasses :/

The quality of the wallpaper aside, there's one thing that bothers me.

Who the hell would put a wallpaper of some 14 year old nerd named baby on his desktop?!

Yes I'm a starcraft fan and yes I think baby plays good, but NO I won't ever put him on my desktop rofl?!
