He used to be banned every time he posted here, but recently we've allowed him to post. It doesn't mean we support or condone what he did. When someone cheats I believe there should be a long, long road to forgiveness. If you're forgiving hackers a month after they do it, you're spitting in the face of all the legit players. Honest, fair competition should be the highest standard everyone holds and anyone in violation of that deserves all the hate they can get. Yes, this goes for Dino, Spades, LastShadow, Kawaii, and every single one of the hacker and abuser douchebags.
Wow... epic post is epic. I completely agree with the stuff you've said and it gives good insight to the majority of people on Team Liquid. Cheating is completely stupid, its something you do to get through the campaign, not against legit players on ICCUP. On top of that he used the cheating to try and make himself look good... just not my kind of attitude
Edit: Meant to say that I wont post about this anymore, I've said what I wanted to

"hi this is combat-ex bringing you another smurfTLnet account. "

i think the people on this forum jumping on combat-ex are rather desperate or jealous themselves.
we know he's not that good. we don't watch his videos. he may beg for wins, and get them, but as far as the scum of starcraft goes, hackers are 1000000x worse in my opinion. once a hacker always a hacker.
i won't say too much more, as i don't want to be banned for my opinion again.

Mostly since it's hard to remember when it was that they hacked. 4years ago? 6years ago? Dont really know about nada hehe.

Everyone does stupid shit when they're young, especially ages 13-16ish. Lots of hormones are running, people are self-conscious, desperate to belong etc etc etc. I've never hacked, but there's lots of things I did at that age that I would hate to see an adult do. I don't think there's anyone who made it thru that age without doing anything stupid. Whether it was limited to hurting themselves, or whether it hurt other people. People definitely change.

How is hacking on battle.net any worse than abusing on a respected ladder?

"enough" does not imply "a lot"

Guys like testie and trek, who cheated and then followed up their apologies by playing fair for long periods of time, should be forgiven. They also proved themselves multiple times at big-time offline events, and became productive members of the community. Anyone who doesn't put in the same kind of time to prove their sincerity should still be an outsider, plain and simple. I'm all for second chances, but hacking/cheating undermines the fair competition we hold dearly. The foreign scene for the most part has been without prizes (bwcl, wgtcl for example), so you're playing for the sake of competition. When the playing field isn't level, everything is pointless.
On topic, I had no idea who this combat guy is, but he's a real winner. My favorite part is definitely the MSN chat line where he states something like, "I'm good vs D players and suck vs A+ players." What a coincidence, combat, ME TOO!

I have no reason to like or hate this guy for he has never wronged me. you're completely blind then His eyes are truly open. You can have opinions about people who have never directly influenced you. Life would be pretty stupid otherwise if you can only think about people you know/have done something to you.

From my short and limited 26 years of experience in life, selfishness is something you are born with. It is genetic. It never changes as people grow and learn. The only thing that changes is that some people realize being selfish gives them a bad image, so once they mature they will try to fake it in front of others to look good. But deep inside they will still act selfish whenever they have the chance to go unnoticed.
People like Combat-ex are incorrigible. He doesn't post videos to help others. He post videos to show off.

he did not fuck up his opponent but begged for wins? thats a huuuuge difference. i couldnt give more of a fuck what a C player is getting his wins from, but i do care a lot what my direct opponent is doing.

There are too many idiots and douchebags in this world to spend your time worrying about any single one of them. Who cares? Worry about your own problems, not about Combat-EX.

what's funny is that had meadowlands agreed and combat tried to post the video, he would've had to deal somehow with the whole replays-with-text thing...
