The question isn't why Bisu lost but why Bisu chose to do an all-in build order. From what I believe, he had plenty of time to prepare for a PvP since he was practicing PvP for proleague game against Khan. And Bisu has beaten Jangbi before, I am surprised he decided to play like that, he should have macro'ed played defensively.

If you value your sanity, don't ever read Youtube comments. It's the cesspool of the internet. Worse than Twitter, worse than TL, worse than fucking 4chan. Like, fuck.

No kidding.
It's just filled with people that have absolutely zero clue what they are talking about. 4chan... while nearly as bad also has some really BRILLIANT people that browse the boards. Coincidentally they stick out like a sore thumb...

It's just funny that some people don't understand that if you fail with 4gate you're pretty much fucked.
That was one of the worst games I've seen Bisu play in a long while though. His attack was absolutely terrible; that one pylon way up in front of Jangbi's choke screwed Bisu so so so bad.
|
Bisu probably thought he could trick Jangbi by not playing standard (as Jangbi should rightfully assume). Except Jangbi read Bisu like a book...
I mean, at their levels, mind game matter more than the skill difference... I don't blame bisu.
|
The map screwed him hard...the choke into the nat is not only thin but really long too. The pylon definitely didn't help either...then the probes...oh god the probes.
It could have possibly worked if Jangbi would have gone reaver first...DT he would have been even more fucked, I think.

You must hate yourself if you're reading youtube comments. :<

And this is why group B was really the group of death..
It's all PvP... lose one game and you're out. Talk about volatility...

There is still a losers bracket to be played to determine the second person to advance, you have to lose two games

Bisu went four gate because he wanted an easy win after barely getting out in PL.

Just like the Jaedong vs Bisu thing with the canceled spire...
Though I was surprised about that...somehow there were people even on TL that didn't know there was such thing as a 3 hat spire/den into 5 hat hydra/delayed muta BO that's STANDARD for ZvP...

Even though some people on YouTube are such HUGE idiots, I can't help but find your OP to be over-the-top.

I've just taken to hiding youtube comments. I seriously don't need to read the crap on there. Youtube comments is the dumbest place on the entire internet.

The game reminded me of Bisu short after his transfer to T1. Easily his worst game in 6 months time- maybe even more.

Yeah I'm not really sure who these mysterious youtube comment people are
people that like starcraft enough to watch it on youtube but have no idea what they're talking about but think they do

"To all the FLAMERS:
1. Calm Down 2. Stop contradicting yourselves You can't claim that after his first failed attack the game was over and then say that the only thing he could do was make DTs to try and win. He made DTs too late to catch Jangbi (or any decent protoss) offguard.
3. I didn't say Bisu should have had observers. I said that Bisu should have assumed that Jangbi had observers. Unless he KNEW Jangbi didn't he should have assumed he did as progamers are often aware of DT cheese. 4. To say Bisu couldn't have expanded after the first attack is COMPLETE FAILURE on your part. If your argument is that he lost with the failure of the first attack and the game was over then, why would attempting to expand be criticized? bisu had nothing to lose by attempting to expanding. The map was large enough to possibly give time to slowdown an attack. Also Jangbi wasn't being aggressive. Stall your opponent and try to expand. it has been done before and it can be done again."
"going dt in case jangbi wouldn't ahve observers is poor strategy against a gamer of jangbi's caliber. Jangbi hasn't been playing the best recently but he is still a high caliber protoss. You can catch up economically if you make well thought out attacks and/or your opponent makes future mistakes."
"the point is this. Bisu should have attempted another strat after the first failed attack. It was obvious that he was too far behind then. But he KEPT TRICKLING DOWN GOONS AND MADE DTS! Bisu kept TRYING to attack for 4 minutes after the first failed attack. That was insanity. He should have tried something else. He had nothing to lose. To say he couldn't have attempted to expand within 4 min after a failed attack is preposterous. Jangbi didn't rush his base."
"Hmm I don't get it. I comment on a horrible game played by Bisu and get flamed by those saying I don't understand his strat? A strat that failed because of several reasons listed by those doing the flaming? Where I'm from using a strat in any game that is countered because of different reasons that are not all related to the actions of the opponent and thereby losing because of said strat is called playing horribly. Bisu is my fave player to watch but if he fails, he fails."
"I disagree because their builds were actually quite similar. The loser just went 4 gates sooner.
SC would be so boring if there was no turning back. You can always adapt, the choice is up to you. "
"I'd be more inclined to agree with u if this were a zerg mirror. Build order can advantage a player but nonzerg mirrors offer more of a chance to adapt. especially considering bisu's poor micro in the first fight (allowing probes to attack goons and not moving them). when he sent in dts instead of expanding that was a poor decision imo. a decent toss player w/ 2 bases would have observers by then.
that is why it seemed as if he underestimated jangbi. "
The worst part is...all but the second to last comment are by the same guy.
I couldn't help myself and tried to argue with him...he's a stubborn fucker, and I'm a masochist.

I said I was being masochistic.
Allow me my moment of irrationality.

Bisus all in build just baffled me. Was he not confident in his play? Did he practice enough for the MSL? I am saddened by bisus lost, but his failed micro and weak choice of build order cost him the game I feel.
Kal fighting >.>

That was some of the shittiest playing I've ever seen. Bisu had bad micro, bad timing, and bad strat. Jangbi just raped him.
