First of all, move from 17ème, it's a dead end over there. If you want to party like hell, with drunk girls and everything, go to: The Showcase - Champs Elysées, 75008. You pay 20bucks to get in, its trendy, its fashion, I hate it but thousands of people love it so... The mix club - Montparnasse, 75006. Again trendy, electro music, expensive and sucks, thousands of people tho. The Troskel - Grands Boulevards 75002. Very good irish pub which also has a dancefloor. Population around 20/25, easy sex over there, be it in the toilets or on the sidewalks. Either way, go to Bastille, (rue de lappe, there are DOZENS of bars) or go to Oberkampf (less expensive, more "underground". Oberkampf is my favourite place in Paris. | ||

There are other bars in the area, though that was the only one that really stood out for me. I only remember Paris as being way too expensive to really party in, but again I spend 4 nights there and we didn't really explore. | ||

If you want to be more indoors, besides everything that was suggested above, try "rue mouffetar" which passes by the "place monge". Try metro7 at the "place monge" stop, or cardinal lemoine on line 10 (if it's easier for you, you'll just have to walk 2mn then). There are some awesome bars, especially at the Rue du pot de fer (right next to place monge). Send me a PM if you need more info.
