Well, I finally decided to take iccup serious and play tons of games. I also happened to play all the map in the pool so I can have a little diversity. I find the best way to gain points is to play the "map of the week" and the fact that python is played so many times is annoying. It's too bad that my D+ will disappear... Because it's going to be replaced with C- YAYA GOGOGO.
Here's some small tips for iccup noobs:
1.) Learn your build orders thoroughly since they are effective.
2) Learn the map of the week especially if you're terran/toss player since walling and expoing with cannons are crucial for specialized match ups.
3.) learn try to learn every map.
4.) Don't be afraid to lose, it's not the end of your iccup career.
5.) If you're a terran player playing against a toss be vigilant and learn the timing of dts/reavers since it's their well recycled build orders.
Edit: Since everyone is giving me props for playing all the maps, I think I should go for another round of all the maps again ^^ heck this might even be my signature keke.

i like texcoco for zvp its really imba imo. but grats
as a terran your tvp is better than mine and ive been c- for a while 
(like 30~%) win ratio in tvp

So far my favorites are Othello, enarey, faoi. Maps that I hate are battle royale, and blue storm.

Nice that you can find people to play on every map. Especially foreigner made ones, it seems almost impossible to get C ranks to play on those.

if you want to check map of the week, type "/motw" i am always play motw, because it is the only way to learn new maps and strategies

well I actually got C+ with 5300 pts (was at 5500+ after I lost 2 tvz's) so its not the same saying ur D+ but going for A-. Im actually getting there :/
Btw I felt more gosu when at the start of the season I managed to get C- really really fast because then you got to play with gosu's that started that time but now that we are almost at the end of the season, things seem to clear and its easier to win games. You actually get to play with C rank players that are C for so long so that means they are indeed a C level player.Not some A gosu that has aka at C rank that can rape you.

I only played 13 games, and spread it out over like a couple monthes. I think currently, the amount I play C / C- is where I'd stand if I played a lot more games, but the more games I'd play the better I'd get so I dunno. I just don't know too many people since I came back to playing. I went inactive after 1.08 came out and only did a little bit of admining for SCDL/BWDL ladder and a little bit of GiTM ladder too I think, don't think i've played more than a week or two at most since then until my 1st game on Iccup at the very end of March. It's hard to stay motivated to "improve" when I don't really have a group to play with anymore or the guys I did know in the past are either inactive or ridiculously better than me ie) ret, and I don't wanna bother em past saying hello's :/
