I've played 3 dota games today on Garena, and all 3 included washed up teens-with-a-small-penis-but-attempts-to-have-a-huge-e-penis.
Conversation goes something like this: (No racism or insult is intended)
player x: haha lol so noob
- 5 minutes later -
*konadora pwned player x for 250 gold*
*konadora pwned player x for 260 gold*
*konadora pwned player x for 270 gold*
konadora is on a killing spree!
player x: fuck u la noob hero
me: it's your lack of proper understanding and failure to comprehend the depth of the game that has led to your defeat thrice.
player x: u diam (some word for 'shut up' ) la, act so tough
player x: tell me where u play (lol wad?)
player x: give me you address i go find you
player x: u hum (dialect for 'scared' )ah?
me: -initiates trolling-
Anyway, these kids are IRL underfed and malnourished kids who tend to feel a sense of satisfaction as they bask behind the glory of digital codes and binary numbers. They have no friends, and if they do, they are just another kid without a life. Spamming intimidating words and digital online threats seem to boost their e-penis like how viagra works wonders for some. But when they are found out, they cower in fear and suddenly they become little angels.
Here's on example:
Among the 3 games I played today, coincidentally one game had my friend's younger brother and his friend in it (i instantly knew because his ID was... well his name). I only found this out later as I was tunneling everyone.
Anyway, a few minutes into the game, venomancer was screaming 'FUCK FUCK LAG DELAY LAG KNN CCN MOTHER ASS PUSSY LAG NOOB HOST ETC ETC'. I was like, wtf is this guy's problem? I replied, "Okay wait I'm tunneling"
After I tunneled and found out about my friend's brother, I asked him if it was indeed him and he said yes. He then proceeded to state that venomancer was his friend. In which, the venomancer replied "hi, nice to meet you".
Bottom line is - we need an IQ detector for every single digital device that can connect to the Internet and filter out all these sad people.

ya I have to say dota has the worst community ever, even at the pro level, I once witnessed a ward bitch fight in a professional world finals dota match, and they ban pp in SC its really unprofessional, but I do like dota =]

This why I don't play dota anymore, when I play at net cafe, and play sc, some kids/ teens will just say "lol, starcraft! noob!" then of course I kick their ass.

BM is so common in dota it's almost stylish to do it.
When i used to play dota it was so much fun to either in-house, or pub stomp with +4 friends. There really isn't any other way to play it without just getting frustrated at some point.
When a few of us stopped though, there was no point playing with pubs and we all stopped. Every once in a while I miss playing it. T_T It's actually an amazing team game.

DotA and BM is pretty much standard, even in league play so blah. I actually find that Garena actually adds to this for whatever reason. Maybe not BM, but all around idiocy and childish behavior.

Yes, gamers in Singapore generally have overly large egos. We (yes, I played dota till the recent WC3 patch then it went haywire) generally play for wins over fun.
And yes, it's bloody amusing to troll these failures.

I don't like trolling using words. I'd rather watch their reactions after I kill them for the 150th time.
Back when I used to play, after I get crazy frustrated by getting raped in SC, I would pick Tinker and abuse Bottle Rearm TP for 15 min doing nothing but killing everyone on the other team. I'd end up 5 levels behind everyone but with a 20-0 record. It was hilarious.

I know how you feel komodo. Its kinda worse with fellow Pakistanis - as their abuses are on a much higher level which in turn pisses me off. Only fun if you play with friends/othergoodrespectableplayers. And Dota is boring for me.
Have somewhat left it. - Havent played in 6-7 months. And don't plan on doing so in the coming months either.

the IQ detect should be integrated into banlist, and have an auto kick function if detecte3d as BM Epeen retard.
but yeah, internet anonymity is the ultimate leveler/equalizer. Where seniority and appearances mean nothing, and you are only judged by your current actions/words. Internet makes sure that all ideas are given an equal chance, and opinions aren't outright rejected based on social status. That said, there are a whole lot more bad ideas than good ones.
