1-2 Hours is pretty significant, out of the all of the engie people I know only one had time to consistently play games and he was no joke a genius (who else gets 80s when the mean is in the 30s).

But keep this in mind and I am sure your advisers will tell you the same, your GPA will mean shit after your 1st and 2nd jobs.

The only question you need to ask is if you want to be an engineer. If yes, stay in the faculty. If no and your degree doesn't have any bearing on what you'd be going, switch.

That's it.

There's really nothing else to ask.

I had a pretty hard time my first year of college. I was in the exact same boat you are in, just way deeper in the water. I was physics major, first semester had B average, second semester.. I believe my GPA was a 0.5 or something. That's when I really got into Starcraft, lost my interest in physics, and kind of got distracted by spring break. Anyways, the point that most people brought up is that most people mess up their first semester/year at college, it's natural. The environment's different, you're not required to do your work, you're not required to study, the competition's definitely harder, and there are 100x more distractions than back in high school. It's summer, so my word of advice to you is to not worry too much about it, take your time, relax and do whatever you want for the summer. As for classes, I would sign up for some general ed classes you're interested in and maybe one engineering course if you want to still give it a shot and see if you change your mind. Give yourself an easy load next semester and work on creating some good study habits. Find some people to study with, that always helps. After that semester see how you feel about it. If you still feel that engineering's not for you, you have had a semester of GE's that could potentially help you find another field you might be interested in.

On a side note, my roommate is an engineering major, and he's the hard worker type. From what I've seen, he does about 20 hours of homework a week, 3 out of the 5 week nights he comes back home at like 2 AM. However, he's really interested in his classes and he really wants to be an engineer when he gets out. It is a hard major, lots of busy work, but if a future engineering career's what you want, it's well worth it. Anyways, best of luck to you.
