Not Patching?

Okay. This is pissing me off. No matter what i do, starcraft will NOT patch up. I finally found my old CD-key (i've been using 0123456789, which is invalid so that i'm permanantly stuck in the void) and i decided to reinstall. I backed up my maps folders, just in case, and reinstalled. I tried to go to battle.net in broodwar immediately after install, and it just sat there, saying "searching for fastest battle.net server" for about an hour. So i then went into regular starcraft and tried to go onto battle.net, and i got an error saying i wasn't configured for dialup (i've got 8mbps wireless, but it never had an error before, except for the >2 players lag thing, which i still haven't fixed) So i downloaded the patch from the blizzard server, which is completely useless. It errors and says "archive is invalid" (whatever the hell that means) So here i am, with no broodwar, cant connect to iccup, etc. Basically i'm bored out of my mind.
Any help?

download bw off iccup or the blizzard store. I don't know if the iccup version can get onto bnet

The Blizzard Store doesn't patch correctly with the official patch from my experience.

Try downloading an ISO and install with that.

I'm using an ISO. suddenly starcraft cant detect mounted iso's.
I uninstalled like 10 more times and then just gave up. I dont know wtf is wrong with bw but maybe it just doesn't want me to play.

I just realised that i dont have a 56k modem on this computer, but i removed it before starcraft decided that reinstalling wouldn't happen.

oh goddammit this sucks. I've got it patched up to 1.16.1, but its incredibly buggy. As in, hard computer crash when i try to play multiplayer. Also for some reason i cant watch replays (option isn't open) and i cant save them. Why does starcraft hate me so much?
