I figured I'd make a brief blog about a news story that's been going wild in the sports world: The Denver Broncos apparent feud between Josh McDaniels and Jay Cutler.

My opinion is that McDaniels is simply doing the job he was assigned, while Cutler is acting like a complete and utter child.

I'd like to strike up a discussion about the matter with anyone interested. What are your thoughts?

Clearly the best course of action as a new head coach is to alienate your pro bowl qb.

Note: I'm not saying Cutler isn't a baby, but they're kinda fucked without him. Offense was their strong suit, they needed to focus on building up their D. Now it's looking like they'll be without the qb that threw the team on his back last season.

Lol, well, I think Cutler kind of did that to himself, though. All McDaniels did was loosely entertain an offer. I can see why Cutler wouldn't like that, but he's gotta get over it. Not that McDaniels has been handling the situation perfectly.

Cutler has seemed pretty classy throughout his early years in the NFL. Know nothing about McDaniels so I'm reserving my final judgment but I've been leaning a little towards Cutlers side.

Coach didn't try to trade him. The offer was made to him, he entertained it, and denied it.

Why should Cutler show any loyalty towards his coach or the organization? They showed their colors by entertaining that offer. You don't trade a franchise guy like that, much less for an unproven qb. (Any chump can throw to Moss/Welker.)

If we're playing the whole 'it's a business' angle, then why is it so shocking that he wants to leave a shitty work environment? Would you want to stay at your job if you heard your boss was looking at another employee, and there was only room for one of you?

He was promised by the owner that his O-coord wouldn't leave, and he was fired. That started the ball rolling. Then this whole thing happened and McDaniels (and Bowlen) basically said, 'stop being a bitch'.

And you want this guy to go out and try 110% for your team now? Fat chance.

The fact that McDaniels didn't accept the offer showed their colors. He wouldn't have been doing his job had he completely ignored the offer. You have to leave all doors open. Also, Cutler doesn't have the best reputation in the locker room, so why should he be given the benefit of the doubt?
