Same thing happened to me last week too but they only took jewelery.They went through our underwear drawers too looking for the stuff you'd want to hide and got a decent amount of stuff (about 2k) but on the bright side its not like they ransacked the place and insurance does cover the expense so things could certainly have been way worse. I think the real damage is any feelings of insecurity but at the end of the day you just have to keep living your life, just maybe consider getting a security system or something to protect your belongings.

why would they take jewelry??? jewelry isnt worth much nowadays anyways. the only thing that is actually worth anything right now is hard cash, which is what they took. yes, they will probably exchange the tv for hard cash and they took the purse for cash. hard cash is very needed in these times.

My brother (a SC player a lot of people know) had his car fire bombed the other day. probably because of angry drug dealers he is associated with. My house got robbed of jewelry, televisions, trophies (worthless, stupid thing to steal) and several other things. They also smashed a few windows just for fun.
I didn't blog about em but I guess that'd be ok. Had he blogged about it it'd be ok. But he thought it was fucking national news or some shit. So I lambasted him (probably too rough, as I said I was doing a term paper at the time) and it is now in the blog section.
But please, keep bumping this thread with lil comments to me.. it makes the thread actually worth reading.

I agree. A lot of threads in the general section are trash. That doesn't mean you ignore the concept of organization/better threads altogether.
If all this stupid arguing and flaming (derailing) makes him think twice about where he puts his thread or what content he includes in said thread.. then today was a good day.
