So Yaoyuan hasn't been working for me lately after I reformatted my computer. The 400k/800k WMP stream used to work perfect, but lately I've been getting an error saying: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

I'm using the latest versions of IE, WMP, and I've installed a file on IE from yaoyuan already.

Maybe someone who speaks Chinese or is familiar with yy can help me out. thanks.

Yaoyuan doesn't work for me either so I doubt it's got anything to do with your computer

400k/800k, both YY streams and both Daum streams all don't work for me.

I think you need codecs. But yy never has worked for me.

Hmm these streams work fine for me, I think it probably is a codec problem.

You can install a codec pack like K-lite codec pack. I have never had codec issues with it. Gl.

yea this:

K-Lite Full Pack
this will also cause ur WMP to play almost every file like the so loved VLC.....
(VLC is still a bit better but WMP is great with all codecs too. Anyway i prefer GOM over all

)

thanks for ur input guys.. i tried the klite thing, but no luck. Whats funny is WMP MBC 400k and WMP OGN 800k don't work on yaoyuan, but WMP 2 OGN800k is the only one that actually works.
