so.. im in my sernior year of highschool.
all the tests, paperwork, apllications are done and sent in on time...

One of the schools i applied to was MIT. I actually applied to Early action but got deffered to Normal action

..
but at least i wasnt outright reject

anyway...
does any1 know the time that the acceptance/rejection letters get sent out for MIT?...

ive applied to a few other schools and heard back within a few weeks of sending in the application, although they werent quite as up there as MIT is....

im sure some1 here goes to MIT and might know?...

don't worry, your app didn't get lost. A lot of schools release in the middle of March, so just wait another week or two. you should check mitadmissions.org for updates.

Really depends on what facility you apply for. Engineering applications take longer because of the huge amount of people applying for those positions, whereas less-desired (as far as the masses of undergraduates go) degrees like BSc, etc take a short amount of time. I got a reply after 3 weeks or so for my MSc, whereas my buddy applied back at Christmas (for engineering) and still hasn't received a reply.

Just depends on supply/demand.

this is complete bull, he's from canada, all regular decisions come out the same time

I don't know about this year, but I'm 99% sure it's always been sometime in March

Late March or early April is normal decision mailing time for most top-tier schools. Wouldn't expect MIT to deviate much from the norm.

MIT is ridiculously hard to get into, so good luck with that. I had a friend in high school with impeccable credentials who got turned down. My not-even-as-good-as-his credentials didn't stand a chance.

More scores are up there... i just hope all the essays/interviews/other stuff set me apart

oh well.. it was always a small hope anyway, but if it works, that would be awesome
