So I was chillin' on IRC, and the conversation turned to where we were from. I say that I'm from Boulder, Colorado, and some guy (LeperKahn) said he was too. Asked if I went to the local university, and I told him I was in high school. So then it turns out, we apparently go to the same school.

No wai. Really mind-blowing finding out that someone you meet randomly online could very well be someone you know/see everyday haha.

I'm planning on meeting him on Tuesday when school starts by taping a TL.net sign on my back and waiting for him in the library lol.

Hilarity will probably ensue.

Yeah, I am freaking out. This is soooooo crazy. I was dead sure that the only TL people in my area would be at CU. After all CU is a pretty big university. Anyway, this is awesome. See you Tuesday. =D

I've seen someone browsing tl.net at my school's library before, though I had to go somewhere asap so I didn't have the chance to talk to him...maybe I can find him again >.>

Also apparently my school has a small Starcraft scene with people playing after school sometimes, maybe I should start playing again...

Polyphasic or w/e is my neighbor, but I don't think he posts much anymore.
Oh, Klogon and I went to the same church for like five years, until he went to Pennsylvania for college. His dad's the pastor, actually.

Haha that brings back some funny memories. I started playing Starcraft seriously after losing horribly to Klogon in seventh grade. And of course, he introduced me to teamliquid as well.

Sunyveil went to the same high school as me. He's actually the guy who got me into this starcraft thing which now takes up an inordinate part of my day. I should really fly up to that college he goes to in the middle of no where and pay him back for it.

also de4ngus goes to the high school I graduated from.

I've met a few people at semioldguy's finals parties like randomkorean and diggity, though I guess the latter doesn't post much on TL but he's still a cool guy. lots of TL go to ucsd, so I guess I might meet more eventually.

No one I know who plays post here,or did play.

Ive meet TL peeps at different WCGs , alot of them at wcg finals in Seattle.

People who live close but dont play anymore that i know personally.

TF-Brad (meth kills,or jails )
L0st_T3mple(WOW victim)
TF-Megabust(plays some mostly still d2,fucker)
Waxoff (got him playing a ton agian woot woot)

Also Generalstan was going to school here not sure if hes still in town tried meeting up with him but he wouldn't answer his door. Hahah

lol back on another forum about 1 and a half years back
there was a topic about where the game company was from (obviously from irvine like everyone else)
then I was like "cool I live in Diamond Bar, thats pretty close to there" then the next guy was like "lol I go to walnut high, cool we go to rival schools xD" then i pointed out i went to walnut also then it was like a WTFBBQ moment. I got warned for spam though xD yea we met at school and everything :D since then i have transfered to Diamond Bar High and i know omgirok goes to MY school. all the other bw closet nerds are just lurkers on TL having an account just for liquibet

No one on TL even lives in my city, according to this thread.

Although I was born in Vancouver and plan on moving back there in a couple years so maybe we can arrange a LAN or something once I'm there?

Your incident however sounds like it is going to be hilarious, sign on the back haha. You guys are in the same grade as well?

No, I'm a junior he's a senior. The sign thing was so funny (Totally his idea ;p). The problem is we can't tell if we know each other or not yet. It's a huge school and it is likely we've seen each other around, but never realized it.
