i just monkey tilted my 500 br playing blakcjack after some brutal bad beats in 4 mtts wjednew

im way to emotional for this game, i cant handle getting 2 outed and getting sucked out by runner runner cards

i know i need to go cry a river and getting over it im so fucking frustrated, not even bc of the 500, i never planned to do anything with it or cashed out or anything it was there to play mtts
is because i was playing great poker, making good lay downs good reads and good calls, and still fuckng getting sucked out

Im not a great awesome player by any means, but today today I was playing great

poker has only fucked me mentally
fuck poker

lol when u tilt it's best to go get some food and/or take a walk.
I lost my whole bankroll to mostly bad beats grinded from 15$ to 160$ down to 10 bucks, now back up to 40$ now. Just keep at it.

Maybe try some other poker games that are better suited to your style, heads up, STT, Double or nothings, 6 max, limit, etc. And that's just tourney NL holdem.
..and then I would, ya know, check em'. (Aka SpoR)

Poker makes you understand how life can be so random.
Worship mother Variance.
I have played like tons of micro sng 6-handed and i can't beat it. Mostly because of the 20% ( lol ) rake.

Tournaments suck because you can play perfectly for hours and then lose on the bubble to one suckout and make nothing. Cash games are so much better for controlling tilt and minimizing variance (as much as that's possible).
Of course, you only live one life, and you make all your mistakes, and learn what not to do, and that’s the end of you.

yeah, it seems like MTTs are way too much variance, but is what i really enjoy playing. I grind nl25 and nl10 on the side when br goes down after not cashing for a long time. but I dont really enjoy grinding. is after I won my 1st MTT the rush and the feeling was so awesome thats what i kept playing

I feel the opposite, Cash games you can loseyour entire buy in plus whatever you've gained beyond that on a single hand. Set over set for example.

Cash games are extremely boring for me because 80% of the players are grinding the same shit at NL10 as me and just waiting to flop the nuts and go for broke. the other 20% are usually not donking their money off to you because there are 5-8 other grinders getting the chance to get that guy's money. And there is like no room for anything but robotic play (this is why I lost my bank roll)

start paying attention to those little columns of numbers beside the table name

dont join a table with 150 hands played an hour with a 20 cent average pot

find out where the money is changing hands and play there because there are probably shitty players

Makito I think youre missing the point: if you know that some hands trigger your tilt mode learn to recognize them and go for a walk or just learn to leave, controling yourself is as important as learning pot odds or any stuff related to poker.

I have done this many times.. I always get my BR up to like 100 dollars or so and it takes 2 das to withdraw so i play on.. and on... and on.. and lose everything every time. You HAVE to take a big break or its inevitable, think about it. How lucky can you be?

i recently started playing again, albeit with small amounts of money,

but what do you know, i get a frigging 4 of a kind, with Queens too. next hand, im getting flush and now im thinking what the hell?

needless to say, i cashed in pretty good ;D

but yeah, if you're on tilt, it's same as starcraft - you need a break.

Im soo glad im not the only one who feels this pain. Im generally good at walking away when I go on tilt, but it doesnt change the next few hours where im walking round the house cursing at some lucky prick whos sucking out every hand.

live games are way, way lower level in general because there are crappy tourists that have never played or random fratboys who watched rounders once. online there are tons of grinders who play hundreds of thousands of hands, even at lower limits. plus for "feel" players theres less information (you can't see the other guy and he can't see you).

I feel your pain, I can bluff people to submission in live games, but like, online its insanely hard to bluff as almost everyone is just doing the stats then i get rocked.

All depends your situation though, Once you have a read of the people your playing against, you know if you should bet or play against them. Half the people I play against will only bet on insane high % cards but only if you let them see a flop, you can just steal blinds from them otherwise. Just know when theres a hand that could seriously put you on tilt and react accordingly.
