I've never understood this view. How are written words somehow less human than spoken words? Both are expressions of a human's thought, are they not? I would say, unless you're throwing out slang-drenched one-liners all the time (which I'm sure many people do), that communicating through writing is much more human than speaking, as there is much more time and thought behind it.
OP: She baked you fucking cookies...seriously this isn't even a question.

WTF is going on with kids these days....?
He's saying "I love you" in the same way you would say "I love you" to MoC or R1CH after they release an AWESOME SC add-on or something. I think :O

It makes things more clumsy, but it's more natural as well.

True. I'm incredibly inarticulate when I speak though (clumsy is too lenient), at least about things that I've thought about a lot, so I prefer the clarity of writing if I have something important to say or discuss. Emotionally vacant, I know, although sometimes something actually comes out right when I'm hanging out with someone, but generally those situations only arise with girls I know aren't interested in me whom I feel I can speak openly with. Anyway, I guess it depends on what you're going for, communication or emotion.

I agree. Although I've found when it's something important, I can do way more wooing in person.

Lucky you. Maybe I'll pick up the skill someday.

Ask her out again. And watch the feminine mind games begin.

Basically i'm getting it on with this girl pretty good, were texting pretty much every day we mutually say we love each other in that cute way you know, and then we flirt when were in school. so then its our last day in the same class together and she makes me cookies lol yea pretty silly, but anyways this kind of made me grow the balls to ask her out, which I did but she said she had plans already, which was the truth because over the weekend she went to this jewish camp.
Now my question is should I be persistent and ask her out again this weekend or should I wait a little, mind you we havent texted since I asked her out, weve only been chatting through facebook.

Texting and w/e is great to break the ice and get a general inclination of someones interests/feelings. It's a good way to feel more comfortable around someone but always:
*always*
Seal the deal in person by asking someone out and have a good time. There's no beating laughing and smiling to gether and sharing those awkward moments. 80% of human communication is non verbal but bodylanguage and someone asks hows texts are inferior to words and being there in person?
Ask her out, be interested in her and how her camp was, ask questions and let her talk while you take her coat, hold the door, order drinks for her and yourself after asking what she wants. This gets her more comfortable with you and you don't get yourself into trouble by saying stupid shit if you're not a smoothe talker (like me ^^).

I was gonna call it. Talking over facebook is pretty impersonal because everyone does it. I thought the cookie thing was a good thing though.
