There is this Smash Bros Brawl Tourny on Saturday and I have, I suppose, only Friday to train. All you Smash nerds out there, what should my training regiment be? play marth... all u need (is marth top tier in brawl like he was in melee?)

Some advice: when they are shielding a lot, use grab depending on the map (ie, final destination doesn't count) try to stay below them and attack from below if they are spamming moves find a sequence that can counter it, or use long range attacks if you have never played before good luck, and if you are totally out of your league... mash and smash!

If you're fresh at the game immediately pick up Snake or Metaknight and learn how to space properly with them. It's not like in ssbm where you can have an absolutely flawless air game and get away with it, having a decent ground game will go a long way. Also, will this tourney have items? If it does, learn to camp the common item spawns (go read another forum for that). If you can play Metaknight or Snake well then you shouldn't really have any trouble rolling wannabe kens. Other then that, just grind out games against your friends, really the only way to get better other than watching match vids :3
