hahaha. i refused to believe this was due to WOW and more of strict parents, but I was curious and googled raid start times. Most of them start 5pm- 9pm.

Maybe he's addicted to some game, porn, girls, etc.

But there are some people that will like exaggerate things their parents want them to do to gain attention, maybe? Like, get you people's sympathy and stuff.

Just a thought, don't take me too seriously. I just recently found out one of my "friends" was just like that, so yeah.

You could threaten him with violence and/or death. 3:30 PM is late? Maybe his parents are tyrants who have enslaved him to do their bidding.

In all seriousness, maybe he's become antisocial, or is playing WoW (I know that my brother has raids from 8 PM to 12 AM a few nights a week. Have you tried confronting him and his excuses? You never know, he may give you the truth.

Yeah stalking him or something might work. Because there is no way in hell any parents ever expect a kid at that age to be home at 8pm and what not. He's lying.
