THe DXM trip itself is very fun, most of the time. I really recommend weed if you are going to robo trip. It just makes the experience much more enjoyable, and it helps a lot with all the bad side effects. Also I heard that generally you can have a bad trip with DXM more than other psychedelic/halluncinogens. WHen am in a bad tripping mode I can always break it and feel good again, but sometimes its easier to do than others. The way I see it is that you need a tight grip on unreality so to speak. You need to be able to think abstractly and freeflowingly so that if you find yourself in a bad place, so to speak, you can think your way out. | ||

We both bought a 12oz bottle of "waltussin dm" from Walgreens because at that time we were both poor motherfuckers grinding out 70hr weeks for our hotel renovation company. We downed both bottles on our lunch break and I was initially pretty upset because the shit didn't do anything. One hour later though as I was working I realized "man I am completely wastedly fucked up what the hell" So I called my friend and he is talking to me about riding a horse and how his foot has a fungus and how he is persistently scratching it but I was still pretty competent so i lol'ed at him and searched for him til i found him and we decided that since our boss was gone that we should work together because "it was a pretty scary world out there after dxm opened your eyes." While we were working together he was a knight and was galloping around all over the place with a wooden dowel jousting shit until finally he shattered the wooden dowel and cut his hand and became convinced that it was stuck inside his arm/hand so while i'm jabbering on about nothing being real and how i'm convinced nothing is real and how can i know that everything isn't fake and dimensions and how they can exist inside of fake matrix type bullshit or something my friend is having some simple hallucinations and starts basically crying so i decide ultimately to take him to our acting boss because he had to go to the hospital. However, before we got there some hotel cleaning lady stopped us and as we were talking to her we realized we had no idea what we were doing and that "it was ok that it was stuck in his hand cuz, "he's just trippin'" so we went back to work (lol). I swear to god we told that lady that I can only imagine what she thought LOL. I hit third or fourth tier somewhere here though (I don't remember what is what, we didn't research any of this beforehand, we only learned about dxm afterwards) and I can't really remember anything and it seemed almost like a spiritual endeavour full of multicolored thoughts and what i remember as really spiritual philosophical things. I was literally so scared/engulfed in this world i had created that i retreated myself to my hotel room and layed on my bed semi-paralyzed and so fucked up that I don't really think moving was an option. I have no idea how long i stayed there like that but I'm pretty much convinced some shit happened while i was there that I should be remembering because it had to be important. From there it was just a comedown and fuck did that shit last for a long time... I was feeling the effects of it until i woke up the next day. top moment from myself that i can recall is telling my co-workers that I "Could be in this world(pointing to my right), but at the same time I'm pretty sure I can exist in this world(pointing to my left)" my friends top moment was either jousting everything seriously believing he was a knight or the next day when he realized he had scratched all the skin off the top of his feet (LOL) damn fungus owned him hardcore in the DXM world. | ||

was in my room in college over the summer and my roomate was away as usual. i found out later he spent some time in the hospital with alcohol poisoning after drinking a liter of vodka over the course of 45 minutes. but aside from being a window into his personal character thats totally irrelevant to the story. i had walked to the store to buy groceries (2 loaves of bread, peanut butter, funyuns, orange juice, cough syrup, strawberry danish). also irrelevant but as i was walking back some homeless man had the nerve to ask me for change. i was like LOOK MAN IM WALKING DOWN THE ROAD CARRYING 2 LOAVES OF BREAD AND A JAR OF PEANUT BUTTER HOW MUCH FUCKING MONEY DO YOU THINK I HAVE. also irrelevant but when i quote someone talking i often capitalize what they say, as seen above, or when i use terms that have special meanings or require special emphasis. so i had downed the bottle, lying in bed with my entire playlist in winamp, listening to deodato's latin flute (if you played vice city you know what this is), and i look at the doorway to my room for the first time. it was a lovecraftian door frame of unfathomable horror and cyclopean geometry. the angles were just wrong. on the top left corner of the doorway there were two corners, but on the top right side, there were three. how could this be? what terrible mind could have created such an unimaginable thing? clearly some sort of inhuman monstrosity from the outer planes of yuggoth. as i pondered the doorframe and its otherworldly composition, the song ended and another began. i was frozen in place and powerless to move for what seemed forever in the dead space between sound and eternity. and then the next song began. dschinghis khan - moskau. overall i dont really think id recommend anyone to do DXM. its done terrible things to my life. being at times incoherent would be first, but i wasnt very coherent in the first place so that doesnt bother me. however, before i could put words in the proper order. second would be an unhealthy love for disco. also on that thread dxm will ruin your enjoyment of music. there are probably other things but ive forgotten them as ive written this. yeah, dont drink cough syrup kids. i probably should read through this and rewrite it to make sense but i think it may work better artistically in its original form. | ||

I used to do DXM, my highest dose was 1000mg (I had a high tolerance apparently). But yeah... that was an interesting time. | ||

There's nothing wrong with linking a factual website about drugs because you CAN seriously fuck yourself up if you do something wrong. It's for safety - this way if people decide to do it for the first time or again they might be more informed. Also, notice his name, he is clearly NOT the king but the victim. If you are even determined enough you can extract the dxm through some pain in the ass process that requires you to consume the dxm in the same day apparently. I have been all through erowid before and I did a lot of research. I really don't think it is any more dangerous physically than alcohol (actually probably less). Psychologically though, I can definitely see how it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. Of course I always take it at about 300-350 mg range which is a pretty average dosage. Actually for my tolerance is a lower end dosage, yet too much becomes not fun at all). I have heard of people doing some crazy shit, like this one douchebag kid I knew who took 50+ (1500mg plus dosage) cordiciden cough and cold, which are the dangerous ones as they contain a chemical called Chlorpheniramine Maleate which can seizures or even death at high dosages. I think I just got lucky and had good times the first few times I did it so that there was no reason for me to stop like some of the people I see posting here.  Also felt like shit the whole next day. It sucks I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.If your gonna do it be careful what you buy and check the active ingrediants because stuff like triple C can permanently damage your liver and even kill you if you take too much. | ||
