I wish to express my appreciation for some of the commentary that has been conducted on streams by teamliquid staff. For me, the commentary is, without a doubt, the biggest motivator for me to watch a three hour program where noobs challenge a known player, or some preliminary match in the TSL (or some showmatch raping XD). The commentaries have varied between serious, strategic analysis to silly, comedic discourse. But in virtually all cases, they have been very entertaining.
The role of commentators has also varied. Some, such as Chill/Rage/Plexa(recently), are frequent fliers. Others have popped in on occasion. I'm hoping the list I have is exhaustive but I'm sure I've missed someone (apologies in advance).

Haha. Fakesteve is a very funny commentator. I'll give you that.
It's also advantageous to the other players that he isn't a gamer because it would just be instarape right?

I really enjoy the triple commentaries, and the occasional random youtube commentators.
Can't forget Tasteless of course and Lilsusie and Daniel Lee.

All of them are great, and I agree, the commentary is one of the main highlights to many of the team liquid events

Chill+Artosis was easily the best commentary I've heard :p

Chill and Fakesteve are my personal favorites. fakesteve is hilarious and Chill has a good...rhythm about things.
I also really like Plexa, I think he did a terrific job today.

Yeah if I separated this into 'depth' and 'other' then Artosis could be a shoe in for the former. Also don't let chill fool you; I'm not that bad lol.

Tough pick between Plexa and Artosis for me, haha.
Voted Plexa, simply because I like his style, but my vote could have just as easily gone to Artosis, due to the fact that his voice is godlike, and he's got very high-level insight.

I love every commentator on that poll and appreciate their work, but to me, Fakesteve is the best/enjoyable commentator.
Seriously, he knows how to make me laugh =P

Most in depth strategic commentary out of any of the english commentators, no one else even comes close to him.

Well you do are, your work with tasteless and the whole chemistry you have going on right now it's awesome. Today (01/04/2009) I saw the games live of the GOM Intel Classic, and well I loved, it was the first time I stayed up for this and I don't regret any of it, one hell of a experience.
Every commentator has something to bring to the table, like everyone of them has something to bring, and it sets them apart from all the others.
Artosis - He's a good player, and knows a lot about the game, he can cast for the hardcore gamer and the casual watcher at the same time, and always gives good insight about what is going on, and how the game could be going.
Chiill - He's a good player also, his way of commentating involves the serious talk with the awesome joke on it, and it makes a perfect combination of qualities and skills that make him a very good commentator.
Fakesteve - Fakesteve rules.
Plexa - Well, he is also a very insightful player, he gives a lot of detail of what is going on and has a clear english.
Xeo - I never knew xeo casted lol
Rage - I like rage's voice, he seems like a serious commentator, but at the same time, he is so relaxed all the time that it makes for a very good listening experience. One of the very few casts I've had the pleasure of being in, rage has always delivered a very good commentating performance.

I would have voted Tasteless had it been an option in this poll but since it is talking about people that had commentating in TL.net streams then I voted Artosis because I like hs strategic analysis and way of talking.

well i think out of the commentators on the list Artosis is best, but i voted lilsusie because she is learning so fast, and complements tasteless so well.
