but i don't want to pay for the converter
any suggestions on converters that don't have any watermarkings and time limits on video's
btw
the vids are mostly all off tl.net

Free, easy to use, and powerful. http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ To convert video, all you have to do is go to the Extensions drop down menu, to the "digital media player" submenu, select "Zune" set your preferences, and click start. | ||

 It's really an excellent all around program. I use it for lots of things.But I think I'll mention, since you're probably a nerd like me if you visit a StarCraft forum, that in cases of .mkv files, although MediaCoder will convert them, it is very difficult to get it to actually convert the soft subs into hard subs... You have to split files, extract junk, and do a lot of background work before you can get MediaCoder to do them right for you, and frankly I was never able to figure it out. Which is why, if you're interested in foreign films and such (ie Anime) with soft subs and multiple audio streams, I highly recommend AllToAVI. It'll turn soft subs into hard subs, let you choose whichever audio stream you want to include, and basically do all the hard work for you. It as powerful and featured as MediaCoder for its purpose. You can find it here: http://alltoavi.sourceforge.net/ After you convert it with alltoavi, it's just a matter of converting it again with MediaCoder for your Zune. | ||
