So its Christmas Eve. I went to meet my family at some sushi hangout for dinner today after meeting a friend who had just booked out from his military camp.
We ordered food and we had a nice talk as a family.
I arrived around 10 minutes after my parents did arrive at the place so they ate first and they waited for me. I got the menu when I arrived and I ordered food HOKKAIDO CHIRASHI DON.
Okay so I had to wait around 20 minutes and my food still didn't arrive. I asked the waiter to check and he said that the food would take some time to come.. so I was like okay fine.
Then we waited for another 10-15 minutes or so and the food still didn't arrive. I asked another waiter and the manager came saying that oh.. they actually missed my order.
I got kinda pissed off. Okay not kinda. I was infuriated I almost went BM. I mean first you tell me that it would take some time and THEN YOU FUCKING COME TELL ME THAT MY ORDER HAD BEEN MISSED. WTF IS THE POINT IN CHECKING MY ORDER WHEN YOU TELL ME IN THE END AFTER CHECKING ONCE THAT THEY HAD MISSED MY ORDER. Its like waiting all that and they come tell you. So I cancelled the order, paid the bill and left.
Is getting angry wrong? Its the festive season but man FUCK SUSHI TEI. I don't think I'll go back because of the FUCKING ignorant people there. Bullshit.

Dude I don't understand ... you're getting all worked up because of a missed meal? Just tell them you'll go somewhere else next time, that kicks them in the wallet pretty nicely. I don't see the point in getting mad - if you're mad, BM them all you want, who gives a shit, but it's just a meal.

And its not just a meal. Its about why after checking once, you tell me that it will take sometime and when I check again later, they missed my order? Its like wtf am my checking for? DNO I FEEL SO BM I WANT TO RANT THIS.

It's unacceptable from the restaurant's part, sure, they'll lose all their customers pretty quickly, but it's really nothing you should get worked up over.

Well, this has happened twice this week now. I waited 30 minutes the last time that happened. I'm still without dinner and its Christmas day right now so its not that its just a little thing but its just the thing that pisses you off. Like how this blog does to you.

i had to wait for an hour and a half to be told my order was missed.... i just had them put it through again, and ate dinner happily another half hour later.
this is far less than an inconvenience.

Just don't tip them at all or like someone said to compromise and threaten to not pay/leave.
On a side note, how more luxurious restaurants serve a dozen dishes in 10-15minutes flat is unreal. You get the good with the bad depending where.

nearly the same thing happened to me recently...waiter said they checked on it and my order "was almost done"....then later told me the order had never been put in. I just took my meal to go and didnt leave a tip

Imho: Completely justified and healthy to get angry over something like this. (As long as angry means yelling / storming out)
On a sidenote: Why would your parents eat first, if you were at the restaurant before them?

i was wondering the same thing, but i guess it was a typo. kinda can guess the actual intended meaning (hopefully).
and bad service... oh man, i've seen some bad revenge from customers.
customer: "i want boiled eggs"
20 minutes later, waiter brings eggs over hard
customer: "these aren't boiled eggs"
waiter: "oh, they aren't?"
customer: "........."

I had this happened to me once. Waited like 45 minutes for some pasta that takes like 10 minutes to cook at most. Stand up, told the waiter I'm leaving then refuse to pay, in the end got everything takeaway for free lol?
Other times, if i'm eating asian, if my shit don't arrive within 30 mins, i just stand up and leave lol?

However, there is no point getting mad over this. Abusing the waitress don't amount to anything, you are just another customer in the queue and unless somehow you can impose yourself at the start for them take you more seriously, but afterward they just won't give a shit, i know i was like that when i was pushing plates .

Well, I didn't bitch at all to them. I just cancelled my order and left. My parents ate some stuff too so they paid for that.

So lets sum it up
-they forgot to make your meal
-lied about it
-didnt lose any money (and actually made some on your parents)
-you get pissed off and post about it in a blog
-dont get mad at the people who actually lied and forgot
-waited around for a long time
-and didnt eat

No they cancelled it so I didn't pay for it. But my parents ate some other food so they paid for theirs. I meant that when I pay = they pay that kinda thing lol.
