Hey TL, I was reading the thread about Nony being in korea when I noticed that quite a few members of the TL community majored in philosophy. That being said, I have a midterm in philosophy tomorrow on human nature, which I will need at least 2 philosopher's views on and Plato's The Republic. I was wondering if you guys had some tips or points you find very important to help me study. Thanks in advance.

The classwork for the philosophy classes I have taken have all had very specific topics to write about. Yours seems a lot more broad. What school do you go to?

I was going to say that's actually a pretty easy question compared to the crap I got in my Philosophy class in college. I think you can actually just wikipedia the answer too...

He wants you to contrast other philosophers with plato? or he wants you to talk about other people's views with regard to plato?

Compare and Contrast the views on human nature, the human condition, and the meaning of life of at least 1 other philosopher apart from Plato.

I haven't read the republic, so really all I know about Plato is from the Socratic dialogues.

You could use Sartre, there's a good summary of his beliefs here:
