My laptop does that sometimes for system intensive games, even if it meets the requirements. Maybe you should add some more fans!

Yea, loud != hot Next time it shuts down on you turn it back on immediately and go into the Bios and check your temp if you don't have a prog or can't find one.... If it's not that, update all drivers, and ect ect obv. No idea otherwise.

as for your cpu overheating, download coretemp, it keeps a txt log. but again, it may just be a glitch because it's really buggy

And how are you so sure that it's not an overheating problem? I would get some compressed air and spray into your case just to be sure.

1 From the desktop right-click on My Computer. 2 Click the Properties option. 3 In the System Properties window click the Advanced tab. 4 In Advanced click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery. 5 In the Startup and Recovery window uncheck the Automatically restart check box. 6 Click Ok. If it's rebooting. But I'm sure you meant what you said about shutting down entirely. Try getting SpeedFan, another similar program, (google for it) and giving us your CPU temperature. It may be as simple as ventilation. What case are you using? How many fans? Are they intake or outake and where are they placed?

but if u wanna skip all that, just open the side of the case and aim a large fan directly into it, if it still crashes in about the same time, it probably isnt heat. Also like what others said, it shouldnt hurt updating everything, from windows, video drivers, game's patches to flashing bios. other stuff to do if u cant fix it: Check Ram, run on one stick or swap with known good ram. Check PSU, swap with a known good one. Reinstall windows. FUN!
