Interesting trend of the people griping mostly about the general education/prequisite level courses... I can only assume that the people doing the higher level stuff don't even have time to bitch  | ||

Hooray Applied Mathematics Major w/ English Literature Minor. Hooray Grad School? ..  Also - Finals aren't that bad if you think about it. Yes they're bum-fuck hard and you rarely make an A, but they're usually not worth more than 20-25% if that. You can't REALLY fuck yourself over unless you don't go. | ||

If you really want to suck up it'd be better to pick the prime age bracket of 18-20 rather than underage bracket. I really didn't think susie was old enough to have done 7 years of uni though. | ||

1 research paper in bio (ok, what kind of psycho set a due deadline at 5pm on SUNDAY?), 1 physics test, 1 neverous systems test, both on tuesday, and i'm free. In the mean time, chugging tea and writing the paper, break's over, backing to work T_T | ||

We almost never got assignments and when we do they are forced with just p/f which means that they do not count on your grades, you just need them to get a grade at all. As for midterms they either to let you pass the course if you do well enough on them, or they give points up to the lower grades or they simply gives points up to all grades, at maximum roughly 10% of the score that is distributed on the final. And this is not weak, this tests your long-term understanding a lot more since its harder to plug in a whole course than do each part and then forget it, which would still give you a passing grade in your system. Also I have no idea how we do courses outside physics/math in Sweden since here when we study our schedule is mostly filled with required courses and grading was a bit different in high-school, I guess that it is a lot more similar to your system there since you can't just have a grand final in literature.
