[H]CPU flicker?

I'm not sure if this is the term for my problem but my computer started flicker, like whenver i'd maximize and minimize a window i can feel it going slower, and there's lag. Also in SC games whenver i move the screen, i can also feel that it isn't smooth and its moving in like frames... However the mouse is fine. BTW I have windows vista.

ANother issue is that my sleep option is greyed out in the list on the start menu where other options like "switch off", "shut down" "lock" are listed, except sleep is greyed out and i can't find a way to re-enable it, i've searched on google too, but some of the options they suggested me to do was either unavailable or also greyed out.

Sounds like a graphics driver issue, or maybe your graphics card overheating.

Dunno about the locked options.

the locked options sound really weird- I've never seen or heard of an option like that being locked.

I thought that lag when moving around windows, especially sc, was normmal. I guess that shows how slow my computer is.

I'm starting to suspect that its the nvidia driver thats cuasing the problems if i unistall it will it cause any issues?

sounds more like a hardware than a software issue...

YES I FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM, I HAD TO INSTALL A NEW NVIDIA DRIVER....

Thanks for all those that replied, even tho it didn't really help i knew cared enough to post 8D... Now i can get back to my physics homework...
