Well, at approximately 9:30 this morning, my wisdom teeth were pried from the mouth that has been their home for 18 years. It was a pretty strange experience, because I didn't know what to expect. Pain? Drug induced euphoria? Death? Regardless of those feelings, I knew I was in for a shitty time.
So after sitting in that waiting room for about a half an hour, trying to interest myself with the latest issue of a golf magazine, the lady calls me back and sits me down in this room. Okay, so far so good, I'm thinking to my self. No chainsaw-like tools in sight, and this lady seems pretty nice.
So the doctor comes in and puts in the IV and we start making small talk about my schools cross country team, we got 12th at state, blah blah, then
I was home in bed, and my mouth was bleeding so hard I thought they replaced it with a hormonal vagina. No pain yet, but the numbness is wearing off, and I sense a rough time. How did you guys cope with getting wisdom teeth pulled?
update: my dad wont get me perscription painkillers. fuck my life.
update2: I love advil. no seriously, i want to get married to it. i want to raise a little advil family in a little advil suburb and send them off to a little advil school and then become an alcoholic and divorce my advil wife and beat my advil children and- wait shit nvm, my dad got me perscription! yay!

I never got wisdom teeth pulled. The doctors said I didn't need it apparently.
How are you feeling?
I recommend Jamba Juice, with immune boost don't want to get infected with something nasty!

My dentist told me they don't need to be pulled either. Now my teeth are all awry because of them.

I actually didn't bleed for long. I believe I removed the gauze I had the night of the operation

I didn't take any painkillers when I had mine out. After the procedure, I stumbled down the hall yelling at everyone that I could walk by myself, just like I was drunk.
The fact that you're sitting at a computer posting on TL means you'll be fine.

Tell your dad to stop being lame.
I'm sure you can make it, but getting them is one of the percs!
Just stay away from any food like rice for a while. You don't want your holes infected

Keep your fluids up. And don't abuse opiates, its not fun to be a junkie, or so I hear.

Its not really ever super painful, but it is definately a nuissance. I just ate tons of ice cream and frosties. It was only about 4-5 days before I was able to eat anything confortably again (and I had all 4 pulled, 2 were impacted).

Prescription painkillers worked for me 
Mine hurt so much when I first got home and the anesthetics wore off.

Wow, no painkillers? Sucks to be you. I got mine pulled (and it was bad because they had to rip my gums open to get to them) and it wasn't bad at all afterward... But I had all the vicodin I could eat. =P Whenever it hurt I just took more meds. =)
Either way, I suppose I can't really offer any advice other than DON'T GET DRY SOCKET. (I'm assuming they already went over all the prevention methods for that, but seriously, listen to them.) I hear it's horrible.

i was very lucky with my recovery - i was eating solid food i think on day 2? and i didn't need painkillers.
my sister on the other hand had hell for 3 weeks.

Sleep. Just try to sleep throughout the rest of the day as much as possible~

Yea, I ate popcorn the night of my surgery. In retrospect probably a terrible idea but I felt fine.

Getting wisdom teeth out hurt like crazy. I was eating soup for like 4 days, and no solid food for about 5 days after that ><;;

best of luck to you. i havent gotten mine taken out but for weeks i had a fucking infection which was later cured by meds and shit but man... i couldnt sleep and shit, it was BRUTAL.

I ate icecream half an hr after i got home... kinda soothes the pain
I didn't take any painkillers, only meds i took were the antibiotic thingies.
