On IRC we got into a discussion about what type of cars we would put into our own fleet (if money were basically no object). One or two guys liked the idea of having several of the same car... but they disagreed on whether or not they should be the same color.
I on the other hand would like to vary my car choices to cover my different interests. I decided to make a list of 10 cars with a picture and short description of why I chose them. I encourage you to either discuss my list, or post your own. It will be interesting to see how people from different countries produce different types of car lists (I think).
List of cars (in no particular order):
1) Mazdaspeed 3:
This is my car and there's no way it's not making it into my list. It's the most affordable 280 foot pounds of torque that also has all the nice features of a comfortable/reliable car.
2) Chevrolet Cobalt SS Turbo:
This thing is a beast. 8:22 on Nurbergring in Germany which smokes all other FF competition (and many other cars including some porches) as far as I know. Kinda lacking on the interior though :-/
3) 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution:
Some of the most impressive performance of any car I'll ever have a chance to afford. Four wheel drive.
4) Subaru WRX STI:
Basically a LanEvo with 5% less performance and 5% more comfort, making it a more realistic daily driver.
5) Mazda RX-7 FD or RX-8
Not sure if I'd go with the sexy RX-7 or the soso but newer RX-8, but I'd definitely get one of them. Mazda has made several very nice cars.
6) Mazda MX-5 Miata
I only hear good things about this car. One of the most fun roadsters to drive, ever.
7) 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1:
What a sick car this is. The corvette is a very nice car to begin with, and they just blew away the Z06 with this new, supercharged model. I'd also consider going for the pace car because it looks really cool.
8) Nissan 350z:
This just looks like a sports car to me. Nothing that special about it, but I need to have at least one car with the typical look.
9) 2009 Nissan GTR
I was wondering when they were finally going to bring the Skyline over to the USA officially, and god damn did they do a good job (at least if you look at the performance numbers).
10) Mercedes SLR McLaren
I generally don't go for German cars, but I figured I'll pull a supercar from there. Honestly I could make a list of just 10 supercars that I like, but I decided I'd be more realistic with this list. Anyway this car has incredible performance, but you'd better be prepared to dump 500,000 dollars into it lol.
So what do you think? What would you do? Remember, the goal isn't simply to spend the most money XD

why would u get a 350z when u have an r35 loool
youre never going to drive the 350z at all if you have an sti, evo x, and/or an r35.
not to mention an SLR
k my list would be simple, and not too over the top:
r35 as a weekend car, porsche cayenne for when i have kids (zzz), an s550 to look ballin, and an evo for a project car

YES my favorite car is in it!!! mazda rx-7! The cobalt SS maybe really attractive price ways and looks, but reliability fails compared to competitors.
Oh yeah i saw this car when we i was going home @ a highway, A old porsche carera GT (1996ish?) vs a Lancer Evo 2008. And they were at the stop light, (i was behind them) and the evo smoked the porsche

I am pretty disappointed in the lack of a single classic car in your lineup. No Mustang? Charger? Classic Porche? Even so this list is a ballin list of cars.

This is a pretty crappy list of cars. It's a bunch of low end sports cars, crappy american muscle and the one supercar you chose sucked. You could have made this into a good general thread but instead you just made a shitty blog post. Nice idea though.

These are cars that I'm familiar with... I'm sure if I spent more time studying up on cars I'd agree with you more, but this list is just for fun. How would putting this in general made it better? How does putting it in blogs make it shitty? Anyway in the blogs section the stakes are lower so I don't really see why it's worth getting insulting with words like 'shitty' and 'sucked' lol.

1) Porsche Targa
I love Porsche and I like the Targa series the most, preferable with panorama roof though.
2)Jeep Wrangler
I'm sure Reach also thinks suvs are jeeps for ladies! a jeep needs to have edges and some mud on it to look good
3)Ford Focus
A Rally Ford Focus looks like so much fun. I need all those adds on it too, to feel like McRae :D
+ a black bmw with black windows to look like srs business
+ some nice old US musclecar, can't decide on one now

+ Show Spoiler +1) Audi RS5 Daily drive... i just love it 2) BMW M5 i'm not too much of a fan of it's looks, but whatever goes on under the hood makes me love it <3 also my wife's car 3) BMW M3 CSL no AC, no radio, no nothing. pure power. 4) Audi R8 just because i'm baller like Tony Stark 8) 5) Nissan GT-R it's an R35. need i say more? 6) 2009 Cadillac CTS owning a CTS before, there's somthing about it that makes me <3. the 2009 looks like optimus prime 8) 7) Aston Martin DBS cuz i wanna be baller like James Bond. this car is just sex. 8) '69 Mustang Shelby GT500 imagine driving this badass on the streets of a town dominated by corollas and civics. 9) ZR1 Corvette i'm usually not a fan of the corvette, but slight modifications to the look actually makes it look nice. not to mention, the fucking power of the beast! 10) Lotus Evora my go kart.

I think I was misunderstood when I said the word 'fleet' on irc. I meant something more along the lines of 'convoy'. As in all on the road at the same time, one after the other. But that would make for a less cool thread.
