With no intention on bragging about how cool i am for sleeping in lectures and not paying attention thus the need to study the entire content of the course within 3 hours including msn chatting, Why will i own this exam?
Because of starcraft analogies.
I won't bother typing up the whole thing right now as i need sleep, but i just want to share my success story in this fucking boring shithouse fucked high-level useless knowledge bullshit waste of time excuse for a subject given credit in the world of academia.
An example of how high level and useless the information provided to us can be
"What are goal changes and plan changes?"
"Changes that don't affect the final goals and customer requirements in a project and only affect the planning are called PLAN CHANGES". "Where-as goal changes are ones that reflect changes in the goals of the project"
This is merely one example, i have dealt with worse stuff in 3rd engineering ethics last year (which i just bsed anyway).
So this time i decided to have some fun with starcraft analogies. Of course there is more grave that is associated with 'goals' and 'plans' so in a nutshell,
i dub a goal as how you want to defeat your opponent i.e you want to boxer him out by 1cc nuke, that is your overall goal, the stock holders and finance's to this goal are all my korean girl fans cheering me on, they WANT to see this goal fulfilled in the long run no matter what the circumstances are. But what if my opponent (a random variable) takes a hint that im going 1cc nuke? or that im fake FE into DT or some insane shit, then thats where plan changes have to take place, I as the player(project manager) have to try maintain this same goal but by changing my actual plan to work around all of this, to cut probe count(cut down on lower end engineers so as to have the quick resources i need for the project of fast dt).
But then what if the goal needs changing? what if i feel that my stockholders are telling me deep down inside they want to see something else, they just want to see me win, then to do that i'll have to obviously change my plan for it
holy shit.
i love starcraft
traditional plans were long gone after lost temple, there are many fads right now specially with new maps (companies) in the game these days, the evolution of project management is by far an interesting one when you are stressed and resort to starcraft.
So i salute to you starcraft
goodnight
and i hope i ace this fucked subject.
