Training partner/mentor

I'm looking for someone who would be willing to take me under their wing as a terran player.

I'm about a D+ level toss (on ICCUP) player but I want to make the switch to terran and I found the best way to learn toss was with someone to train me.

I have reasonably good mechanics and high APM (not that it means much)

I was hoping I could get someone of a reasonably high level (around C+/B-/B) who would be willing to help me out with some BOs and tricks) as well as someone to train TvT with ( I already have 2 friends in RL who play zerg and toss)

I want a higher level player because I want someone who knows the basics without even thinking.

I think that if someone were to take me on they would find me very approachable. I'm friendly and not at all BM.

I have my year 12 exams next week but after that its pretty much gonna be some hardcore SCing.

there are lots of these blogs / threads, and to be quite honost...what can you provide to a B rank player, in return for him devoting his own personal time to helping you out? I don't think players with that high of a skill level would be interested in wasting their own gaming time, trying to teach you the very very basics of sc. Just go download a bunch of terran replays, and write down the common build orders. Take those builds, and practice them until you can do it without thinking.

After you are capable of doing your build without any mistakes, focus on another part (macro / speed /multitasking)

someone really good can teach you some timings / build orders, but they cannot teach you mechanics, which honostly is the most sure way to improve. You can get the very same information from watching a bunch of replays, and seeing where you went wrong etc.

I suggest putting as much of your own effort into the game, and don't rely on the 1% chance that someone really good will freely dedicate his time to you.
