I'm having some problems when I try use my SNES on my new TV.

I can play N64 without any problems at all but when I try to play SNES it wound give me any picture on the TV. It's the same game channel as N64 but all I see is these purple lines on the screen.

I've tried it on my older TVs, no problems there. It only doesn't work on this one (LCD).

Any solutions? I wanna play Donkey Kong!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could download an emulator on your computer but the game experience isn't as good.

^ he did say he tried on his older tvs?

it might just be a compatibility problem

are you using s-video? cuz i know that s-video cables aren't supported on snes..... i think lol

I have emulator yes but it's way more fun on a real TV.

Xeo: It works perfectly on all other televisions which aren't LCD's.

karbon: No S-Video (I think?). I just use the normal cables which came with the SNES.

It's the TV it's conversion of analog to digital isn't fully compatible with the much older analog from snes

exactly what ARE the normal snes cables. I cant remember. Is it just using that single yellow plug for video? Try browsing around through your tv's settings and maybe you will find something that deals with particular circumstances involving using that video input.

Also, have you tried other games besides donkey kong yet? I know that donkey kong used special higher resolutions for the snes. Might be using something really weird that tv cant interpolate. Try a diff game like mario bros or something.

I've tried like five different games, oh well, I'll just have to play it on the old TV or use emulator.

The normal cable to connect to your TV is that one which has a metal stick in the middle and hollow around it. It like a needle sticking out of the middle of the circle. And you screw this thing into the back of your tv into that place which has a hole in the middle that allows the needle thing to stick in it. ya...
