So... while browsing some potentially-malicious websites, I managed to get an Avast warning and I deleted the infection or whatever. And then I went to some other sites of various sorts when I noticed that my flash and video player wasnt working. I couldnt even see where the videos would normally appear (such as myspace).
I managed to get back some of it, but I still do not have ActiveX enabled and whenever I try to customize the security level in my IE internet options tab, it resets it to medium and disables all ActiveX controls.
Do you think this is caused by whatever I deleted or perhaps because Avast was like 'stop looking at porn, Im adjusting your security levels'?
Any ideas how I can go about bypassing Avast (if that is the problem) or how to fix it if Avast isnt?
I had trouble navigating the Avast support site and I even checked the search function here, because Im sure theres many people who are more experience with Avast and anti-virus programs than I am. Ill keep trying to figure it out.
