Many of you will my recall my blog from shortly after Palin was announced: Palin for VP. Well let me add a little more of what I heard today.
While I was waiting for my 1000 mile car servicing to finish, I was sitting in the waiting room watching some morning show and playing go on my laptop. There were several interesting topics, but I cracked up on the last one.
Remember how Palin said 'nuculer' instead of 'nuclear'? Well, they straightened her up. She sounds better, talks more like a proper politician, and even pronounces the word correctly. After all, it's a very important word in today's current events, and mispronouncing such an important word would make you come to realize that it's very important you immediately correct a pronunciation mistake you should have moved heaven and Earth to avoid in a planned speech.
So how much time did she spend mentally correcting herself for her mistake? Well, you be the judge.
Witnesses noticed that, during her recent speech, her teleprompter wrote out the following for her: 'new-clear'. 'Nuff said.
+ Show Spoiler +Since about half of readers never understand my point I'll say this: "She's dumb." At least she doesn't repeat the mistake over and over like a certain unelectable incumbent -_- + Show Spoiler +Wait 50% of readers probably won't get that either: Bush shouldn't have been elected, let alone re-elected. + Show Spoiler +A few of you are still confused right? You see, in 2000 when Clinton could no longer be president... + Show Spoiler +Ok if you still don't get it you aren't going to (you can stop reading now yubee).

When she was speaking at the RNC I kept hearing "Norse" instead of "North". When she spoke about her life.

Edit: and if you spend 2 consecutive posts doing it you won't just be blogbanned 8o

Who the fuck gives speeches that aren't at least consulted by specialists? Are you really that naive? You can't possibly use that as criticism.
At least Obama doesn't make an ass out of himself by choosing a vp who only serves as marketing tool or try to make up for lack of vision by talking about how he was a pow, big fucking deal. Also McCain has used nothing but fear to try and get votes while Obama has actually laid out plans for the future that benefit the people of America.

I guess it is official: all republic candidates are stupid.

Foreigners shouldn't be allowed in this thread.

I don't think pronunciation is a good indicator of intelligence. I know that if I suddenly learned I was pronouncing something wrong my whole life, and I knew I'd be delivering a canned speech, I'd write it out a different way to make sure I'd say it right.

If you were intelligent you would have noticed before you were giving such a big speech that you were saying it wrong! And even if you did manage to let one slip through (despite all the controversy about the same thing with Bush) you'd be so horrified that you'd be far from needing a teleprompter to help you.

Eh. I'm not convinced. I know I sound like a tard in Korean, doesn't mean I am stupid.

They loved each other very much and decided to have a child named Sarah. That is they decided to have a child and later named it Sarah, not that they....you get the point.

I'm going to be so pissed if the dems fuck this up again. It's never been a more for-sure thing in the last 30 years.

Instead of studying pronunciation she should be studying foreign policy for her debate with Biden...
I was pretty sure I was going to vote for Mccain but then he chose Palin and I'm voting for Obama now. Even though Palin seems like a pick that's gonna refresh the White House she was just chosen to pander to the same old same old Republican party base. It just shows poor judgment on Mccain's part if the most qualified woman Republican he could find was someone who he had met for 15 minutes and whose main claim to fame is selling a plane on ebay (creative but my grandma could have done that). There are a lot more competent Republican women out there, ex Olympia Snowe. But she's pro choice and that would alienate the same old same old Republican base.
Can anyone honestly imagine Palin going on diplomatic visits or even assuming the presidency if Mccain died? Imagine her talking to Vladimir Putin...I know they are into hockey in Russia but I honestly can't imagine him being impressed with someone who can just talk about how much of a hockey mom she is.

It's weird because in 2003 analysts were talking about how George W Bush set up a "Republican Stronghold" in the White House because September 11th happened and Bush reacted quite well to it, subsequently invading Iraq in what seemed like a very successful peace-keeping effort. During the 2004 elections, they talked about how Bush's Iraq plan was a disaster, yet he still won.
If McCain wins in 2008, I will be very impressed. Not happy, but impressed. He has all the cards stacked against him, yet he still has managed to keep this Presidential race close. If he loses, he will be too gracious to say so, but Palin is probably a major reason why he lost. If he wins, I might be moving to Canada.
